The wife and I came across this place on accident, but took the chance as it seemed to be a new burger/wing shop (right where the old Jamaican restaurant used to be). Gotta say that the burgers we had were on point! We both ended up with the Juicy Lucy burger and oh boy was that meat JUICY. The homemade spicy queso sauce was also smooth with just enough kick! Fries had that CRISP to it as well. The owner came out and we got to talk story on the food (burger meat is apparently made out of Wagyu) as well as how they started up the restaurant here.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating HOWEVER I had to knock this review down four stars due to the experience we had with our server. The restaurant is new so we understand that there may be some kinks to work out, but the following happened: The server forgot our drink order and we had to remind them what drink we got. The server got the wrong food order for one of us (I ordered the Barbeque Burger but ended up with a Juicy Lucy instead). Caveat that the owner did come out to see if I wanted to get my original order with the Juicy Lucy being on the house. Owner also gave us a creme brulee which was ALSO really good. No issues as both ended up being delicious. The receipt showed an item that we didn't order and we had to clarify the mistake. Caveat that the receipt was fixed immediately.
Overall a pretty solid burger joint! Can't wait to try more food from the menu, like the pupu's, wings, and sandwiches. Just gotta be a bit patient as the minor service kinks are worked out 🤙
UPDATE 17SEP24 - Service bettah and finally got that Barbeque Burger! I think the Juicy Lucy was better but this one was still...
Read moreWife and I decided to take our 4 children here for a nice family meal after Church this Sunday. We started with the poutine fries which were very good. It isn’t like traditional poutine but very tasty nonetheless. Wife ordered the Juicy Lucy burger, my two oldest boys split the BBQ burger, my two youngest boys ordered keiki meals, and I ordered the BBQ burger but substituted a fried egg instead of the fried onion that comes on the burger.
Food quality: Burgers were well seasoned, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The fries are waffle fries that are seasoned and cooked well with no grease. Prices overall were very reasonable ranging from about $18-24 dollars for a burger and fries and keiki meals at $7 which is fantastic on the island. They also have wings though we didn’t try any but they appeared to be the whole wing. In addition to burgers and wings, they had other sandwiches such as Reuben, French Dip, and Philly Cheesesteak.
Service: The location is small so being a family of 6 we had to wait a little bit but no longer than 10-15 minutes. The service was prompt taking our orders quickly and food came out quick and hot. The owner was awesome and working his butt off by seating guests, taking orders, getting drinks, delivering food, and bussing tables himself. Everyone in the restaurant was happy and satisfied and the whole atmosphere was just filled with Aloha. If you want a good burger and fries and love supporting local businesses, I can’t recommend a better place than Da Burger...
Read moreAloha! I finally got a chance to try a burger at Da Burger Wing Hub here in Wahiawa. I must admit that I judged the food here with a much higher than usual critical taste buds because the past few months of getting take out from our other usual spots left me feeling disappointed. Because of the rising costs, a lot of places are cutting corners and getting super skimpy. We weren’t getting what I felt was something worth paying for anymore. However, the reviews here were mostly really good, so I decided to at least give this new spot a chance. I’m super glad I did. It’s been a long time since I had a really Great Burger. I ordered the Barbecue Burger and it was delicious! It is described as:”A 8oz. Wagyu patty with BBQ pork, peppered bacon, cheddar cheese, fried onions, BBQ sauce and pepper Jack cheese” Very very tasty! Juicy! It was so filling I could only eat half. I ordered extra waffle fries on top of the ones that came with them, but I couldn’t even touch it. I’m saving it tomorrow with the other half of my burger. The fries were good BTW. I also ordered a churro cheesecake which I recommend. Yummy! I love cheesecake and had a lot of different ones in my time, but never a churro one! The side cups of churro frosting, & whipped cream were a perfect compliment to the tart sliced strawberries that sat on the cheesecake. 😋 Your next Burger cravings, come check this place out and support local!!
