I love Kogi Aina!! It's a cute neighborhood spot that has grown over the last few years. Customer service is excellent, parking is very easy to find (small lot in front, street parking around), and the food is consistently delish. My little family loves getting the House Broth and we just add any spiciness we desire through the sauce bar. Their sauce bar is off the hook with so many choices! And, lately, we've enjoyed getting their Kalbi Hot Stone Bibimbap. Don't forget at the end of each meal they give free rainbow shave ice which is simply divine! Don't worry about being full, your tummy makes room for shave ice!! Note: they participate in the Five Stars marketing platform so you can earn rewards.

The food is pretty good, but the service is lacking. Not much was explained, even though I said it was my first time at their restaurant and their menu isn’t well explained on its own. Basically they serve all you can eat hotpot OR a bibimbap dish OR some items a la carte (which only include the item. The cost is high for what you get, though now that I know how and what to order here, it wouldn’t be as expensive next time we visit (if). Side note: we didn’t even get a water refill from our waitress… so don’t expect much in the way of service here, sadly.

Kogi Aina is a great little hot pot place. they have a variety of broth and meat options and two fridges full of veggies, meat, tofu, gyoza, and others that you can pick out on your own. The spicy house shoyu broth was super tasty and had a bit of spice to it. The brisket went with it fantastically. We also ordered a bibimbap that was very flavorful and crisped up nice. They have a couple sauces you can add to taste. Finally, the Melona soju cocktail was fantastic. It was decently strong and tasted like a creamy Melona bar. Definitely recommended.

I love the idea of having more control over what you want to eat rather than package deals that are a bit pricey or don't quite have all you want. This place has a variety of ingredients to cook in your choice of broth-- meats, vegetables, tofu, udon noodles, etc, etc. There are also specials for most days of the week (e.g., soda Thursdays, etc.). Spacing of tables is good and there's even different sauces that you can help yourself to. Plus a big shave ice to share at the end comes with every meal. If you don't want to cook your own, just order one of the stone pots.

Parking and restrooms are the only 2 critiques of this place. There are maybe 10 parking stalls (more if you go after 5 when they use koa pancake house's parking lot) so it could be tricky to find parking at any given time. There is only one unisex bathroom available to patrons from what I saw. It's well maintained but I'm always warry of places that only have one stall or...

Giving this place as low of a score that I am is difficult. The service was awesome; they were very attentive to us and made sure everything was going well throughout our meal, and the food was great. Our broth choices were delicious and there the variety they offer has something for everyone. The reason I'm giving Kogi Aina a bad score is 3 out of the 4 people in my party are now sick with possible food poisoning. One has only has an uncomfortable tummy, two of us have very upset stomachs, the other, whom of which ate the most, is miserable and has it coming out both ends. We were very careful that everything was cooked through, but it still happened somehow. It was (probably) a freak accident, but it's really a shame because we enjoyed our time and food there. The experience has scarred us, and we're unsure if we would...

Probably the best hot pot you'll get around. Even though they don't have much on site parking, amble street parking or down the street at the Kaneohe Pancake House after 3pm. Definitely make a reservation if you are having a party of 6 or more to ensure you have seating arranged.

Service is top notch, they get really busy and have 2 servers but always check to ensure customer satisfaction. My family and I never leave this place disappointed. Our servers always know what we're getting before we even sit at our table but verify first before putting any orders in.

Happy hour is the best deal around, AYCE at the price they have is a bargain. My family and I eat here at least 3 times a month to support this awesome business. I hope you take the opportunity to stop by this awesome restaurant and support...
