L&L Drive-Inn — Restaurant in Oʻahu

Today marks 4 years since my dad passed away and during his last month in hospice he was able to enjoy his favorite at L&L the hamburger steak plate with gravy all over. To remember the better memories we shared with him, today my mom had her favorite won ton soup, and I had my favorite, the BBQ cheeseburger and fries. Had a very nice lunch together. Mahalo L&L for the good food and memories!

Update: We still eat here about every other week and still good as ever. The Husband had the Teri Beef plate last night for dinner and said its always consistently really good. I had a Double BBQ Cheeseburger which was so filling!!! I will probably stick to a single but if you got a Big Appetite this is the burger definitely for you!! Still juicy with the perfect amount of sweet sauce and mayo. We both had the Large Fries and they were so good. Pipping hot and crispy! Even at 7:00 pm pick up order. I have eaten many places during a night pick up order that had dried out fries. Not here! Always enjoy food from this longtime establishment - please continue to support local !!

10/09/2023 Aloha! Updating the L&L post! My husband picked up dinner for us here. I had my usual BBQ cheeseburger and fries. Still delicious, a single hamburger patty (they also have a double) in a yummy Teri Sauce and Mayo. The crinkle cut fries were extra good today. Hot & crispy - just the way we like it! My husband had the BBQ chicken plate with fries also. One of his usual orders and a top seller at L&L’s statewide as well. Juicy BBQ grilled chicken cooked perfectly. As for my mom, to her dismay, the cold ginger chicken plate was unfortunately, discontinued, so she had the Won Ton Soup instead. She really enjoyed it. The container held a whopping 10 won tons!!! This is only the second place I know that has that many so far. She said it was very flavorful and cooked well. It was good we had hot mustard at home though because I’m not sure if it comes with it or not but on a positive note, I ordered over the phone tonight and the man that answered was very cheerful and pleasant so that is always really nice. I always try to be a cheerful and well mannered myself so I really appreciate it when others are the same. I lost my dad at the ending of October so it’s very nostalgic when we have a meal here. Miss u Dad.

The location is not ADA complaint, does not really have accessible entry, and only seems to have one access. I placed an order from the L&L app waited 5 minutes then entered the store but the woman at the counter had no knowledge of the order being placed until I mentioned it. At that time it was put in. On the app it gives you a free welcome gift when your first order from the app is $10 or more. When I approached the counter to ask about the welcome gift she told me it was given on my next visit. During a call to corporate office I was informed that I should have gotten it at the time of my initial visit so I was disappointed. Food I thought was very good. Portion wise I was very pleased so if it weren't for the accessibility issue I'd definitely return to this location. But until that is corrected I will not...

More like zero stars. I've been to several L&L's, so when I found out there was one near by I was excited. I ordered my food over the phone and upon arriving the first thing I noticed is the inside. The tables are dirty with trays and trash. There was food all over the floor. This was a whole new meaning to hole in the wall. No other customers were in the store and there were two ladies behind the counter. So the restaurant should've been clean. Needless to say I looked in my container and the Kailua pork wasn't even the texture of pulled pork.... Just writing this review makes my stomach turn. I wouldn't feed the food to my dog. The people were very nice but that doesn't make you immune to food...
