Old Town Pizzeria & Tap House — Restaurant in Oʻahu

Since I was being treated to lunch today, I picked Old Town Pizzaria & Tap House. The Pizza here is not only the Best in Wahiawa, but this side of the Island and my 3rd favorite spot on the ENTIRE Island. I had the Deep Dish pizza called “The Barrels”. So Delicious!!! Their signature sweet flavorful BBQ sauce with smoked shredded chicken in melted cheese, with diced red and green onions. My mom and husband both each had ”The Supreme” cheddar and mozzarella cheeses,pepperoni,Italian sausage,red onion,green peppers,mushrooms,black olives, on marinara sauce. We also tried their garlic knots, one order is 6 pcs. and it comes with marinara dipping sauce. Those are a must too. Puffy soft pillows of buttery, garlicky deliciousness! Updated: 09/07/2924 My husband tried the Detroit Deep Dish “Meat Lovers” today and said It was good. Marinara based, and topped with cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, pepperoni,Italian sausage,ham,salami,bacon and grated garlic. I tried a slice and thought it was good too. I decided to have “The Barrels” again but this time the hand stretched dough style version. It has mikes original bbq sauce topped with smoked shredded chicken,diced red onions and after it comes out of the oven, drizzled with bbq sauce again and topped with green onion. It was good but next time, I will stick with the Detroit Deep Dish version that I love so much. I have very strong jaws and teeth, but the hand stretched dough version was a bit tiresome having to chew it honestly. I did however try their Cinnamon- Pie. A 6”dessert flatbread with house made cinnamon butter, brown sugar & a drizzle of vanilla icing. It was chewy but yummy! I enjoyed their garlic knots - just as good as the last time! Highly recommend this awesome spot in Wahiawa, some of the best Detroit Style Deep Dish...

This place is our new pizza spot. Super yummy. Crust is fresh and full of flavor. Fresh ingredients. Workers are very nice and pleasant. Service was quick.

We tried both a specialty pizza - the Pua’a with different meats and a Detroit Style plain cheese. I LOVED the Detroit Style. The bottom layer was both fluffy and really flavorful. The cheese on top was gooey and the sauce on the very top was the bomb. A little spicy and red peppery which made it so ono. Not salty either.

It shares space with Chicken in a Barrel which also looked fantastic and smelled great. I like the combo. Seating is cute - surf boards for tables and plentiful. Outside seating by the street is nice. Downtown Wahiawa at sunset is lovely. They might have music - we saw a wooden stage in the corner. This place could really be something. I hope it does very well. Takeout business seemed pretty strong. Especially nice to have a roomy place you can take your family and eat...

We had a really disappointing experience here. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza, paid $25, and tipped, expecting a simple and quick meal. After waiting nearly 20 minutes, the worker brought out a takeout box and casually mentioned that he forgot we were dining in. When we opened it, it wasn’t even the right pizza — instead of the large pepperoni we ordered, it was a smaller combination pizza we never asked for.

When we brought it back, it took quite a while for them to make the correct pizza. Despite the inconvenience, the worker didn’t offer to comp any portion of the meal or provide anything for us to eat while we waited. In total, we spent well over 30 minutes waiting, with no apology or effort to make things right. Definitely not the experience we were hoping for, and I wouldn’t recommend this place based on our visit.
