L&L Hawaiian Barbecue — Restaurant in Oʻahu

The food itself is tasty (I had the fish), so I have no complaints there. The place felt more like a street vendor than a diner, though, and they charge 25c for the small cups of water. If you're getting a to-go plate after the gym, L and L will happily suit your needs, but there are enough higher quality places on the island and for the same price that I don't see myself returning until after I've sampled all the other local restaurants. Do not order Mac Salad from here. They keep it until the last second before it "officially," spoils, and it tastes terrible. I honestly felt like I was going to get sick eating that atrocity that they call mac salad. Their burger meat is also terrible, and compared to the L & L anywhere else, this place is terrible. By far, this is the WORST L & L I have ever eaten at, I will never eat here again, not until they stop serving...

Quite honestly it was one of the best food experiences of my entire trip to O'ahu, even though it was just an emergency dinner after a very long hike - I was very hungry. The place has a local climate attached to it with friendly people you can talk to and listen to their stories. Prices are really good for the amount of meat you get and its very tasty.
