Maui Mike's Fire-Roasted Chicken — Restaurant in Oʻahu

Absolutely amazing chicken. Just wow.

Took a trip to Kailua and stumbled upon Maui Mike's while parking in the Enchanted Lake Center. Pretty good amount of parking, but it could probably get busy after work or during peak hours.

We ordered the Mike's Melt Sandwich and a side of Mike's Fries. The sandwich is one the tastiest (and guiltiest) sandwiches I've eaten this year so far. The bread was soft, the bacon was tasty, the cheese melted on top was pure perfection, and the ranch sauce complimented the meat and cheese so well. The star of the show was the chicken. They don't spout any nonsense about their chickens - it tasted fresh, natural, tender, and well-marinated. I hope to achieve the level of perfection this chicken had one day. But for now, I'll just have to come back and treat myself. The Mike's Fries were very good as well. Seasoned with some kind of spices, it was crispy, thin, and very well-paired with the dipping sauce. Splendid!

Prices are about average for sandwiches. But man, it was worth every single penny, down to the 4.712% tax.

Truly an unforgettable sandwich I must have soon again. I know this might sound over-exaggerated but I am really blown away by their chicken. If you're in the area, you should do yourself a favor and try their mouthwatering, soft, tender, marinated chicken that will haunt you in your sleep...

Good food but rude customer service. First time visiting this Maui Mike's thanks to friends recommending it's delicious chicken. The food was delicious and really really hot so be careful before your first bite!! We would go back again however the girl taking orders around 4pm on 9/24/2023 was clearly not in a good mood and had an attitude. She was very snappy with us and every customer after us, along with eye rolls and facial expressions that showed she was not happy 🤷🏻‍♀️ and not happy she had to do her job. Also while we were eating an elderly woman with a walker came in and wanted to order so she was asking about the food, like what came on it and such because I don't think she could read the small print on the board and the girl taking the order kept sighing and looking annoyed with her. After the elderly lady left the girl taking the order immediately turned around and started bad mouthing the situation. I understand that not everyday is wonderful especially at work but you can fake it especially if you want repeat customers and for people to recommend your...

Stopped here on a whim because I was passing by and was in the mood for chicken. My only complaint is that I didnt find this place earlier in my vacation!!! I only had the chance to visit once because I found it the day before we left to go home but boy it was some of the best food I had on the island. My mouth is watering thinking about it now. Service was quick and the staff was attentive and helped me make a choice on what to eat based on what they like. The Cajun fries were excellent and the chicken was fall of the bone good with perfect seasoning! Prices were extremely fair for hawaii and I was so happy I found this place. I purchased the spicy sandwich with bacon, ranch, cheese, honey mustard and hit sauce. It was amazing. 5/5 on the service. I come to hawaii every year and im mad at myself for not knowing this place existed. The guys in the kitchen took great care of me and were polite. Great staff is half of what makes a place great.
