Food was good, they were out of the Hawaiian bowl so we got the chicken tacos instead and a couple smoothies which were yummy. I give it a low rating because of service. We waited 45 minutes in line for the employee to take our order (I was only the 3rd in line from the time I got in it). If anyone the employee knew came around to order food, they just cut in front of everyone and ordered, this is why it took so long, we had about 5 people cut in line. So by the time I was finally able to order, they were then out of the food I wanted. The employee kept apologizing, but if she really wanted to apologise she'd make them wait in line like everyone else. Then we waited another 40 minutes for our food to actually get out. The person who was in front of me in line, when his order finally came out the employee dropped his smoothie. She went to go make another one but he didn't want to wait another hour for it and left. We would have been better and quicker served by going elsewhere, such as Zane's shrimp. Especially since we had just arrived to Oahu and hadn't eaten anything of substance for 13 hrs. We chose here because of the menu and reviews. All in our party were frustrated by the time we left this establishment. There were 3 employees in the truck, one in the back on their phone the entire time, one cooking, and one...

My husband and I were really happy we got a chance to check out Pupukea Grill. We first tried to go on Tuesday, but the food truck wasn’t there and they weren’t open. I tried calling, but no answer. Luckily, we were nearby and found another good local spot, but we had our mind set on this place. We were leaving on Thursday, so I called ahead to make sure they were open before heading back. Good thing—they were open, and we were able to try some amazing food. It wasn’t too busy, but they were already sold out of a few things by noon. We ordered the BBQ chicken quesadillas and a Brazilian lemonade. While waiting for our food, we sat in the covered seating area. It rained off and on, but it eventually stopped, and we stayed dry. Our food took about 15 minutes to be ready, and when it came out, it was super fresh and hot. We enjoyed every bite. It came with black beans and rice, and the Brazilian lemonade was light and super refreshing. Everything was delicious. We would definitely come back again! If you’re around, you should...

I'm a big foodie and especially when it comes to Mexican cuisine. My wife and I decided to explore the coast and I was hungry. Stopped at Pupukea Grill because it's a food truck and who doesnt like those. Ordered a quesadilla plate with chicken and avocado. Waited about 7 minutes and got it to go so I could eat in the AC of my rental vehicle. Not only was the quesadilla LOADED but the plate included rice, refried beans, sour cream, salsa, and the best pico de gallo I've ever had (and I've been to Mexico several times and love it there as well). My wife had a few bites and even she said this was one of the bests she's had. A little pricey but to me it was worth it. 5 stars from me and I will definitely be stopping the next time I...

Favorite food truck on the island if not the world. Make sure you go past the food truck park because it’s not there, it’s a standalone truck opposite shark’s cove. The locals bowl has always been my go-to. I slightly prefer the shoyu chicken over the kalua pork. Hella tender and well-seasoned thigh meat just like we asians like it!! 🔥😋🍗 The poke is fresh and tasty, and I always want more of the sweet potato mash they make with coconut milk. They inspired me to make mashed taro with coco milk at home. Seen the price go up from 12 to 19 but everything seems to be $20 here now. Anyways come support this tasty women-owned truck so we can all keep enjoying ono eats!!! 🙏🏼

Today we had the Pesto wrap with avo, teriyaki chicken plate with avo, and acai smoothie. All the food was tasty, but husband didn't realize the chicken would be bone-in, not sliced, so he said it would have been good to a receive a knife with the fork. I really liked my wrap, no complaints. Acai smoothie was tasty - banana flavor stood out the most, I prefer more berry flavor but still yummy and refreshing. We had about a 15 min wait in line and about the same (15-20mins) to get our food. Didn't mind the wait because we had some shade to stand in. I would go back to order more if we're in the area :) a few other things I'd be interested in trying!
