I have been a certified scuba diver for a little over 4 years, I still consider myself to be a beginner as I only get to dive once a year due to living in a land locked state. I have only been diving in Florida with my friend who is a Dive Master. I am a very nervous diver and to completely trust the Dive Master. When I found out I was going to Oahu on a business trip the first thing I thought about was getting a dive in. I did a lot of research and was getting discouraged as most were boat dives where I avoid as I get seasick bad, and they also charged a fortune for a private dive master. Then I came across Snorkel and Dive Hawaii which specialized in shore dives. I gave Emily a call and she was very sweet, patient, professional and answered all my questions and concerns. I immediately felt comfortable and that I could trust her. I literally had one of the best dives ever, I explained to Emily how I loved parrot fish and always wanted to see an octopus. Not only did we she a ton of Parrot fish she was able to find a well-hidden octopus for me. She is great, really caters the dives around your wants and needs. We went to Hawaii during the cool cloudy weather right after the winter and before the Spring/Summer calm.

My husband and I haven't swum for 20 or 30 years although before that I was a regular swimmer - pool laps. But I had an exercise regime my whole life including running. We were not certain of what we might be facing beside that awareness of time having passed.

When we met, I told Emilie my only problem was that I was cold and she immediately took off her wet suit jacket and gave it to me and that took care of that.

Emilie seemed almost too accommodating at first and then we understood - she really seems to know how to, and to have the desire to, anticipate what could be problematic. She took us to several beaches in the area until she found one where she thought my husband would be comfortable. And she was right.

We both enjoyed the experience, learned how the snorkel and fins worked and saw some beautiful fish even though the water was churned up a bit.
