Pie on the Fly — Restaurant in O’Fallon

Truly a fabulous pie shop with absolutely phenomenal pies!! This was our first time having Pie on the Fly (I wanted to find a local pie shop for my boyfriend's birthday, he loves pies!) and it was spectacular!! The mom and pop shop is run by the kindest folks who are so incredibly friendly and sweet!! We purchased a key lime pie (full sized) and then a pumpkin pretzel crust and coconut cream pie (mini pies that are about 6 inches in diameter) - all three pies were magnificent!! You c a tell the recipes are high quality as well as the ingredients. The key lime pie had lime zest throughout that was so delightful and the coconut cream pie had shredded coconut in the custard - just a couple examples of the deliciousness we experienced with these pies! The inside is quaint and lovely! The drive out from Saint Louis is completely worth it and I can't wait to come back and try more of their...

So let’s talk about it….my daughter and I JUST literally walked out of this quaint little bakery where we met the owners….I purchased 8 small cakes and pies and their oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies. The only thing I can say is OH MY GOODNESS…..it was literally like being in my grandmothers kitchen but better!!!!! I have never tasted anything this “heavenly” or good before and my Grandmother was a PHENOMENAL baker! We sat here and tried everything I purchased and everything was just as good as the next!!!! I can’t choose what’s my favorite so I’ll just keep buying them all!!!! Thank you both for being so kind and welcoming!! I know we purchased a lot but it is WORTH every single scent! My mother said we have to order pies for the holidays! I thought people exaggerated the reviews….but how wrong was I? Thank you 🙏🏽...

HOLY MOLY YALL! Pie on the Fly is incredible!!! It's such a cute little establishment and the treats are heavenly. Plus, the owners are precious. We had a slice of the cheesecake and a mini red velvet cake. LET ME PUT YOU ON- the cheesecake is the best cheesecake I have EVER had. They have a lot of sweet treat offerings and it sounds like they have some varying ones each day! Even some days they offer FRIED PIES! Inside the shop, there are a few tables up front and a few in the back. Personally, I think the back is the way to go. Back there, there is an open concept with dividers and windows where you can see the baking action go down! Don't sleep on Pie on the Fly. Shop small, eat small.
