It was an okay place. They are very polite and not so much tidy. I'm highly allergic to some fruits including dates/prunes/plums, cranberries. My first bite into the bread was a bit odd and sweet and tart. I unfortunately ate the whole dried fruit so I can't say for sure which it was. I also wish they would have had more signs about what oils they use. As a person whose highly allergic to coconut; I'm not too happy about being given no warning anywhere. We don't have a lot of vegan options around so I'd still visit if I was. I do enjoy vegan food. I can personally recommend some recipes and restaurants. The bread is a tad too dense and crummy. It's either dry on the throat or the allergic reaction. My friend who had some also agreed on what I said as far as it being a tad too dense. I saw avocado signs and just about everything else, but nothing about Coconut. My friend also couldn't even finish the bread. On the way home for an EpiPen and then go back out.

Sweet doesn't begin to describe the service of the employee that served me and my sister. But it is one of the words I would use to describe the delicious sweets. Me and my sister got a raspberry cupcake, and a sun butter chocolate chip cookie. The cupcake was extremely moist and tender filled with a delicious raspberry jam, and topped with sweet vanilla frosting. The flavors and texture reminiscent of a Victoria sponge cake but in cupcakes form. The cookie was chewy, chocolatey, nutty and salty but just sweet enough if you like a thick cookie with a tender crumb this is the best one I've had yet. But if you're not a fan of sun butter I would suggest the regular chocolate chip cookie. If you are in Hyde park you have to come try these delicious sweets. I definitely will be coming back for more. c:

I cannot say enough how wonderful Emy's is! I wish I could give more stars! The baked goods and cafe items are delicious! And the service is so warm and personal! Emy made my daughter's smash cake a couple of weeks ago. It was her first birthday. And her actual birthday is on July 4th. So we threw a July 4th themed birthday party. My daughter cannot tolerate dairy yet, so Emy worked with me to create a beautiful smash cake for her! Not only was it stunning, it was delicious! Vanilla cake with fresh strawberry jam! My daughter loved it! Thank you Emy for making it possible for my daughter to enjoy a smash cake on her special day! And thank you everyone at Emy's Delights and Bites for all the hard work and personalization you put into your goods! I am so appreciative your shop is here!

I found Emy's while up in NY for a book signing event. Traveling with Celiac is always a process, and adds a whole other level of planning to vacations and work trips. It was so exciting to find a bakery that not only offers DELICIOUS gluten free options, but also gives me the peace of mind that there is no risk even for cross contamination as it is a dedicated gluten free (as well as free of other food allergens) facility. I had the special, a gluten free apple pie belgian waffle. It was so good I half expected to look up from it to find pearly gates because it tasted like heaven. But the bakery doesn't only offer decadent desserts, but also savory options and actual meals. I also had the roasted sweet potato and quinoa salad as well as the apple snickerdoodle (not all at the same time because that was A LOT of food!) I can't wait for my next trip back to try the panini and the savory toast options! On top of the amazing food, the owner Emy is a total sweet pea! She was so nice to chat with, and so knowledgeable about food allergies. She even gave me some cooking tips and tricks to try at home! Highly recommend to anyone with food allergies, but also just to anyone who loves a small hometown bakery in the cutest little building you've ever seen. If you're in the area, make the...

Emy Delights & Bites is my absolute favorite cafe in the Hudson Valley. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I'm vegan and my mom has severe food allergies and if you know what that's like, then you know how comforting it is to be able to go into a place knowing you can eat everything and not have to ask any questions - and eat EVERYTHING I do. Her "basic" avocado toast (made on fresh house made bread) is anything but basic. It is to die for.

Now for what she's known for - her sweets! Highly recommend the staples of bakeries you might be familiar with before you went vegan - her raspberry "butter" cookies as well as black and white cookies give me an immediate rush of nostalgia every time I take a bite. All of her cookies have the perfect texture - it's hard to believe they're vegan and allergen free! There's an amazing rotating menu of sweet goodness and they're always unveiling new things and outdoing themselves every time.

And for Emy herself - WOW. The nicest and most courteous business owner in the area. I'm a frequent customer and I see many other customers coming in. Emy takes the time to speak to all customers, answering any questions they may have. She's understanding and goes out of her way to ensure her customers...

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, we really didn't.

We went on the day of a party and ordered the cinnamon waffles. They came out VERY quickly, but were completely inedible. I had to use my hands to break up the waffle and my partner had to use their pocket knife because the plastic utensils weren't strong enough. That's never a good sign. The taste was even worse than the texture. I think they had been under a warmer for awhile. We opted not to finish it. They DID serve it with real maple syrup though.

We ordered things to take home; the dessert counter inside seemed promising. It unfortunately was almost as bad as the waffle. The cupcakes were inedible from the first bite, so we switched the the black and white cookies we had in the order. Also inedible and underdone in the middle, so we didn't finish those either after the first bite

The donuts were tolerable but not that great either. VERY dense and overly sweet, even for a donut.

Overall, it was a very expensive and inedible experience. I didn't finish a single item we ordered, and I would suggest that if you do go, get ONE thing and see if you like it. We wasted a...
