This is the worst customer service in New England. Itās a gas station that doesnāt sell gas. The interior feels run down and dusty. Sprayed a deodorant to test the smell to see if my mother would like it and a tall employee pounced on us and demanded that we pay for it immediately. He was very unsettling and thought he was intimidating. He then clowned on us for touching womenās then clowned us for touching womenās deodorant. Thereās plenty of other stores around that will sell you the same products but with good customer service. The store wouldnāt even be on the corner if back door donuts wasnāt there. I could go on about this but you all get the idea. Now I have a womenās deodorant and my mom doesnāt like it.
My response to the corner store I appreciate your quick and timely response to my review. I have a few things that I would like to add in addition to my initial review. I want to make it clear that I do not deny that we should not have had to pay if that was the stores policy. My main issue that led me to leave such a spirited review was the hostility and rudeness the employee treated us with. After he explained the āno try and buyā policy to us, we agreed to pay for the item. However, the employee continued to berate us as though we were trying to fight/argue with him. My friend compared him to the ācancel me all you wantā meme also known as the basher. As we were already walking toward the counter to pay after having put up no fight, he made comments about our genders to ur backs. The facts you responded with were interesting, but held no reason or excuse for the emitter having treated us like delinquents or shoplifters. I noticed that your response to me acknowledged none of the rudeness your employee exhibited. Do you fee that he was in the right to treat us this way? I will also add that I think better signage should be in place, as I didnāt notice any at a glance before I tried the deodorant. I have tried deodorants at every grocery store, gas station or any kind of market that sells them, and never had a problem with it. While I understand the reasoning behind your rule, and do take responsibility for having gone against it, I feel it is a deviation from the often found regulations of society, and should be made more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited this store recently, and I have to agree, it's one of the worst in New England. Itās a gas station that doesnāt sell gasātalk about a missed opportunity! The interior looks like it hasn't seen a duster in years, and the overall ambiance screams ādusty relic.ā
The experience took a turn for the bizarre when a tall, unsettling employee pounced on me and my great uncle for tasting a lick of a chapstick. His aggressive stance and awkward comments about our lip balm choice felt like we were caught in a poorly scripted drama. Itās not every day you meet someone whose primary job skill seems to be towering over customers.
While I understand that store policies must be followed, the approach here was far from professional. As for the chapstick, it didnāt exactly win my great uncle's favor. Heās always been more of a classic mint guy rather than a āmystery flavorā enthusiast.
In the end, though, itās not just about the chapstick or the eccentric employee. Itās about how a single, uncomfortable visit can overshadow the small joys we seek in everyday life. If youāre looking for a store where you can browse without a side of awkward confrontation, this isnāt it. And if that rude employee is interested in the chapstick, heās welcome to it. Maybe itāll brighten his day, though I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been in this store on several occasions, they have a great selection of things that are less expensive than some of the other stores around. I have to tell you Iād be happy with it except for this one woman that works there. Iāve had two young men and an older man be very nice and helpful but this woman seems to hate her job. She rude, just isnāt helpful, sheās yelling at younger customers constantly, saying you break it you buy it. I was going to buy wet shoes there because they were a lot cheaper than other stores but after hearing her continually yell at these two tween boys who were just looking at things, I had to leave. I found shoes I really liked elsewhere. I can understand it must get really tiresome dealing with tourists day after day. But we are your bread and butter, can you...
