Yesterday, during Tivoli day,
this cashier (owner?) actually manipulated to add tips (15%) without my partner's approval, by pressing the touch screen herself during this transaction. Her finger movement was so quick with 2 taps consecutively while covering her finger tapping the screens twice, with her upper hand blocking her act to my partner, and my partner did not see her fast act. I felt something was not right seeing it from the side.
Today, I asked him to show his receipt to me. And surely, she added the tip to confirm my suspicion. She did not ask us and added the tip herself by tempering with the screen during the transaction.
To us, that is a very dishonest act, especially when she is the vendor.
Last time, the vendor charged the bubbles but did not add them in our drinks, but we were in the car driving away already.
Now we get this shady finger taps to add tips without asking us. We could have added 15-20% tips ourselves to support the local business. She overstepped into what is our right. And all this time, she is sullen, rushed. I find her very crude.
The bubble teas did not taste right each time. They taste quite watered down a lot, and the drinks are not cold enough. The qualities are mediocre at best each time.
During transactions, I suggest the customers insist pressing the card machine screen themselves and select tip options themselves.
And she should keep her hands OFF the card reader, instead of losing trust.
It was quite disturbing to see the owner doing this...

I get there is a worker shortage, but at least try and multitask. You can toast a bagel while making a sandwich for someone else.
Also, the woman in the back wore one glove when making the food and used both hands to cook. What was the point?
