Jason's Deli — Restaurant in Oak Brook

My Husband and Myself had a long day at work and we stopped by the deli for soup and salad. Mines and his first dining experience but I eat from here often the service was pleasant as well the food was good. We gathered ourselves and went to My Car and discovered the battery 🪫was in need of an jump😔 very disappointed I went into the restaurant and asked if there may have been someone we could pay for an jump instead of waiting on standby for roadside assistance. The Manager was friendly in an awkward mannered way that made me feel like no one was interested in helping (which was not their obligation nor duty but it was just something that made us feel very uncomfortable by an entire staff) …

I was inside and then went outside where My husband was with cables it was cold temp like 30degrees, A gentleman driving in the parking lot stopped and asked and unfortunately his car hood was unable to lift so there was not any help.

And as we thought help was gone a worker from what appeared to be from the back end of the restaurant He didn’t speak much English, approached us and agreed to jump our car and He did, I offered “Adon” the spare cash I had as we noticed all the other staffers/manager who closed tonight, going to their cars and even the dining room floor workers couple in same car together who just watched us from Inside their car maybe 50 ft away In same parking lot while manager .hopped in his truck as well near their car.

It was very strange, we had simple car trouble but became invisible to the very restaurant we just enjoyed a meal from. People will be people I guess maybe we seemed scary to the majority of them...

I unfortunately had the displeasure to deal with a cashier who has no people skills at all. I did interact with a couple other staff during my visit who were very nice and helpful. She should be reassigned and not have to interact with the public!

They have a long salad bar which looked fresh and tasty. I did not have anything at the salad bar though. I tried one of their muffaletta sandwiches. It was drowned in the olive spread. So it was a bit imbalanced. It was the Hamm version. They make you choose between ham, salami or turkey. I’ve had a real muffaletta sandwich down in southern Texas that included all three of the meats. So I was a bit surprised to have to choose. All the ingredients were fresh and tasty for sure. I especially liked the way they heated the sandwich and melted the cheese on it.

My sister had a smoked Turkey on marbled rye bread, with mayonnaise and mustard, and veggies on the side. She really enjoyed it, giving it four out of five stars.

For dessert my sister and I split the strawberry shortcake. I got it in a to-go container since my sister said she didn’t want any. But when she saw it, she dug in with me! The strawberries were very fresh for April in Chicago. The shortcake was extremely tasty and moist with a surprising, slightly crunchy outer edge on it. The whipped cream was real, fresh, and tasty! They give you a large serving also. So we both enjoyed that very much!

I would definitely go back here, when I’m in the area. It is a bit pricey for a lunch stop. But where else are you going to get a muffaletta sandwich...

I was looking for a place to eat when I stumbled upon this one. It's also a good thing I stumbled into this place because it’s been a while since I had a good deli sandwich. The place is not too busy. It was clean, and I definitely liked the atmosphere and vibe inside. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and I was able to order quickly. There is a salad bar, but I did not feel like eating some salad that time, but their salad bar is also clean, and the veggies and everything in there were fresh. They have quite a lot of good options for sandwiches and other sides, and they also have soups. I basically ordered a California Club and had to wait a little bit. I had their California Club before and it was really good. The California club that was given to me this time was huge, as in so huge that I did not really expect it. It was fresh and it was delicious. The bread was fine, and every single ingredient had a good portion, and all of it combined was just a good combination. It is definitely the best deli sandwich I've ever had. The drink was tasty too. This is a must-go-to spot for deli sandwiches or fresh salads. Prices...
