The food was excellent! I ordered the chicken chimichanga. The chicken was either pulled or shredded, just how I wanted it. The chimichanga tasted great. The service was excellent. Even though I had to return my Arnold Palmer drink twice, because something was floating in the glass when I stirred it, my server did not lose his patience or did he get frustrated. He worked with me to get a drink that didn’t have floaters in it. The restaurant was very neat, tidy, and clean. I sat in a booth with overstuffed bench seats. It’s been my experience that most places more than a couple years old have those overstuffed seats that are flat and bottom out when sat on. Not at Esteban’s! The seats were very nice. I enjoyed my lunch and if not for the problems with my drink, I would have rated it a 5-star experience.

The food and service were good, but nothing to write home about. My only complaint about this place is that I ordered a "Cadillac" margarita and then proceeded to watch the bartender pour my Cadillac from this premade bucket and then put a floater on top. Right in front of me. Now, it's possible that they premake their Cadillacs, but seeing as how I saw him pour every margarita from the same bucket, no others with a floater, I'm assuming that those were house margaritas. That's pretty sus! Word of advice, when a customer who's sitting at the bar and can see you making the drinks orders a Cadillac, make it from scratch in front of them, not from the bucket. You know who else premixes their margaritas in a bucket? Applebee's, but theirs is a dollar, and yours was $13.25. Very disappointed.

A decent Mexican restaurant that offers a good variety on the menu. We had the shrimp tacos which were a bit messy and simple given their price, however they did have a nice buttery flavor. We also ordered one beef enchilada and one chicken enchilada lunch combo, but we ended up with two chicken enchiladas instead. Regardless, they were tasty, so we didn’t mind too much. The rice and beans had a bit of a hard crust on top, as if they had been left under the heat lamp for too long. The staff were friendly, and our food arrived quickly. Overall, it wasn’t the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever tried, but it wasn’t the worst either. The lunch menu had more reasonable prices, though the other options off the lunch menu were a bit overpriced.

The hostess was busy on her phone, sitting down. I said excuse me several times. No recognition. I walked around the other entrance which was the dining room. No one. I came back to the entrance and the woman finally noticed another family that was coming in the door. She asked them how many. I had to speak up and say "excuse me, I was here first, party of 3". So she sits me right next to a couple. I said can we pls down further? I was seated. The waitress came up, put menus on the table and said she would give me time till the rest of my party came in. I then said miss, I know what they want to drink. So I told her. So she served the drinks and then went to wait on the people that came in behind me. The rest of my party was passing the waitress on her way to the other table. A few minutes later she came back to take our orders. The food was very good but she didn't even check on us for refills or to ask if we needed anything else. We also had to ask the waitress for fresh chips because the ones that were served were stale. Finally we had to ask for the check. She didn't even ask if she could clear some of the table so we would have room to put our leftovers in the "to go" boxes. Very disappointed. My son is an extremely good tipper because a lot of waitresses/waiters depend on that extra cash. He left nothing. Should of left a penny so she got the point. I hope the owner reads this review. They were not even busy. All I saw was the 1 waitress and 1 hostess the whole entire time. This was the first time we ever received...

Jokes on you people for not knowing that Agave Tequira and Esteban's are run by the same owner. Both are authentic, and still the same food. The ambience changes because Agave is more esthetically Mexican, a la carte, I believe. Estaban's allows families to enjoy a booth rather than sit at cafeteria-style tables. The food is great and there was one waitress/hostess who knew me when I was pregnant, saw my newborn, and remembered him and my family as he grew. We would attend the restaurant monthly. I couldn't get the same experience any other place on the entire island EXCEPT 1-2-3 Thai. I would go to Applebees (already crap food) and they would never remember me, even for military events. But I would recognize the waitresses easily. So Estaban's was my go-to restaurant for everything. Fast service, happy service--always tipped well. One of my favorite waiters moved over to 1-2-3 Thai, so I went there for a while cuz he became a cook. Super nice young man. Estaban's has overall nice people and the ambience is fitting and simple. The fast food is still fresh because it's quick and easy to make. Being a fellow chef, I know how kitchens work. They work well. I don't want snobbish, ignorant people going to this restaurant anyway. So all the humans who dissed this place, go somewhere else so I can enjoy my food without your empty heads and up-turned noses. Estaban's and Agave...

I walked in at 12:25 pm on a Monday afternoon. The girl at the front who turned out to be my server was on her cell phone ordering something for herself when I walked in. She pulled the phone away from her face to ask how many in my party then she proceeded to nod at me to seat myself wherever I wanted. I sat for 10 minutes before being served any chips and salsa and then another couple of minutes before finally being greeted and offered a beverage. I went ahead and placed my order since I had no idea if I'd ever see my server again. The chips I was served smelled like a basket of old grease and tasted just like they smelled. The salsa was mediocre at best. It just smelled and tasted like onions. They blended them into the salsa and it's very overpowering. I ordered the Super Burrito Verde. It was okay, but nothing to write home about. The service was fine, but slow. Then when I go to pay for my meal the server returns and tells me she accidentally charged me $82.30 instead of $17.99 which was the amount of my actual charges. Too many strikes to count on my first visit...I...
