The coffee was extremely fresh and delicious, but unfortunately the customer service was lacking. I felt like I was treated like a Ghost. Although I was the only customer in the shop, the barista was more concerned with cleaning her spoons than tending bar. I was forced to ask HER if she was interested in taking my order instead of the other way around. Her excuse was, that I was sitting by the counter, not standing by the counter. What difference does that make?

I worked as a barista for 2 years, and any time a customer came into my store, I greeted them and made them feel like a guest, NOT a ghost. H-Moon Bay is the only thing I miss about living in Oak Harbor, and I make a point to stop by every time I'm in town. They serve some of the best coffee I've ever tasted (Ethiopian blend is my preferred variety), and every friend whom I've taken there agrees. Went there for fresh coffee beans. They have pump pots of their popular blends that you can try before you buy. Their beans are roasted on an almost daily basis. Judging by the number of people I observed coming in and buying bags of roasted coffee beans in the hour that I was there sampling, they surely have to roast daily to keep up with the demand.
