I visited Al's Grill 8/27/23. While there, a mouse 🐁 ran across my daughter's toes. This startled us & caught us off guard. My daughter, son, and I gasped and raised our legs quickly, hitting them under the table, causing a bit of noise. I informed the waitress who reportedly informed the owner & encouraged us to reiterate to him. Soon after, the waitress returned to the table reaching for our plates w/o initially asking if we were done, as if instructed to speed us up and get us out...🤔 However, we let her know whether or not we were done & my daughter requested a carryout. Once at the register, I informed the owner about 'ratatouille.' He says it probably came in from the patio; they've passed inspections; and have no rats in the kitchen. Then he turns his attention to my son to collect $$$ for the bill. Typically, the House would give a discount Or disregard the bill when a customer has a bad experience in their establishment. I am very disappointed with the treatment we received after reporting that a mouse ran across my daughter's toes. I felt disregarded and disrespected as a customer. The bill was paid in addition to a tip included for the waitress, as We did the right thing as Customers. Going forward, after many yrs. of visiting Al' Grill, we will no longer support the restaurant & will spread the word about their lack of etiquette, along with the outcome of...
Read moreJust moved to the area and tried this place. Ordered and the waitress was nice enough and received my food. I noticed that everyone was running around busy doing work because they were closing soon and she was just sitting at a booth on her phone. Another employee told her she should start working and she sharply replied in Spanish "I know how to do my own work". Everything she would serve someone she went right back to being on her phone. I heard her apologizing to another customer because she apparently walked off with his card and didn't bring it back for a while. I was ready to pay and had my card sitting in the bill folder hanging off the edge of the table and she walked passed it like 10 times and went back to her phone!! I had to speak up and say I was ready to pay. She looked up and off her phone to finally take my payment from the table. I would be annoyed if this was my coworker glued to her phone this badly. Food was OK, nothing amazing but not bad, but seeing how distracted this server was is...
Read moreI had the worst experience with Al’s today! I have visited on multiple times and generally order the same thing...the French Connection. On today’s visit my French toast was initially undercooked and soggy. I asked if they could remake it and they did but this time it was burnt. The bread was so hard from being burnt I almost couldn’t cut it. I didn’t eat it and just asked for my check. At check out I brought up the French toast to see if it can be taken off my bill or discounted since I didn’t eat it at all. An older gentleman proceeded to argue with me that it is only two ways to make french toast...either it’s going to be soggy or burnt....this is far from the truth....even my server agreed the French toast was burnt but he just continued to argue that since I didn’t want them soggy that’s the only way to cook them....I have had their French toast before and they were fine but they have officially lost a...
