Stopped in for a quick lunch, I've been having a craving for Cuban and usually I'll wait until I'm in Miami to get my fix 😅 but I've been wanting to stop in and try. It was definitely a cute place that was bright and had a great music selection. Overall I think it's a solid option, the sandwiches were great, I had the pan con bistec encebollado (steak and grilled onion sandwich), and my son had the Miami Sandwich (which his decision making is HEAVILY based on bacon options lol) and the cheesy yuca bites are now his new obsession. So why not give the place a 5 star rating? Well having grown up having lots of Cuban food there were 2 things that I wasn't happy with. The first was my waitress wasn't really attentive and it was just us and 1 other table and it felt like I was bothering her just asking for water. She wasn't rude but it definitely felt that she didn't want to really want to help. Maybe she was tired or was having a bad day idk. The second thing was I ordered a side of Cogri (Cuban style rice & black beans) there's usually a variation of this at most Cuban restaurants I've been to. It was the biggest disappointment I've had lol it was just the driest most bland thing I ever had. Which was heartbreaking because it's a favorite of mine to have on the table no matter what. I'll never hold it against a place if something wasn't perfect, we all have off days and that's ok. Would I go back? Yes, again the sandwiches were great and the yuca bites top tier, but I won't order the Congri again 😅.

I went for the Sunday "Brunch". Arrived around 1pm and the food was fresh, delicious and full of flavor, nice variety of dishes. Not sure if it is the same every Sunday but when I went there was fried plantain strips, mixed green salad, black beans, white rice, congri (black rice w/black beans), maduros (fried sweet plantain), yuca in MOJO sauce, mini steak jibarito sandwiches, mini cuban sandwiches, Piccadilly (ground beef with diced potato in a sauce), pollo guisado (chicken stew), pernin (roasted pork), sautéed fish, and 2 types of mini pastries. You can't be the variety for $25, no drinks included. The waitstaff was very attentive. The live musician was a nice surprise and made for a wonderful experience. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the advertisement is misleading. It is not a "Brunch" buffet, there are no breakfast items or anything that could be considered breakfast and the time posted is very inaccurate. They stop replenishing food at 2pm, by 2:20 Everything is cleared. I asked the waiter what was happening and he said the budget is over at 3pm and at 2 they don't bring out anymore food and start to clear what's empty. I pointed out to him the signage on the table and on the website clearly states Brunch buffet 11am - 4pm. That is definitely false advertising. I highly recommend being there at 1pm, no later that 1:30pm to enjoy the buffet.

Horrible place!! Please learn about Cuban food before get there because they do not serve that type of food. They don't have 100% authentic Cuban food.  Poorly blended piña colada because half looks like ice, and the answer was "that it is piña colada".  They do not notify when they do not have something on the menu.  For example, my sister and I ordered a Tapa Combo and we were not notified that "stuffed beef tostones" did not come. In exchange they just put some chicken empanadas with asking anything and they did not even apologized for the change. If you ask for water, they only offer it purchased and from a specific brand.  If you don't like what they offer you, they don't offer you any other type of water (even tap water). I did not like the service and the food is average.  I don't know how this place has such a good rating if it is not 100% Cuban food/beverage/service. I growth up with authentic caribbean food and this place did not offered what should offer. The last thing was that the owners told us good bye in a sarcastic and loud voice when we were living from the restaurant. What a shame for the latin community.

A few days ago me and and my husband went to have dinner at this restaurant. First thing we notice we weren't sure if the place was open because it wasn't well lite untill we saw another couple with their kid eating there.

We sat down by the window side. It was cold inside the restuarant. We were hungry so we looked at the menu and ordered quickly.

Reguarding the food: I ordered a Ropa Vieja steak sandwich, the shredded meat was not tender at all, it was very chewy and it wasn't well seasoned. My husband ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and the waitress forgot what he ordered and brought him a Cubano Sandwich. Being the nice guy my husband is she told the girl I'll take the Cuban sandwich and then she said no, I'll put in the order for the chicken sandwich and brought it to him and she was a·pol·o·get·ic. At least she corrected that mistake.

We also ordered two sides of tostones with garlic sauce. First of all I thought they had given me two whole hands of plantains to make the tostones because they sure charged us as if they did. We paid $10.50 per side order of tostones and the garlic sauce had no taste. I think their menu is overly priced for the quality and taste of the food. The waitress should be more friendly and introduce herself to customers and make them feel welcomed. She should also write down what the customer wants to order so she won't forget. We didn't even get her name.

Final review: I was dissapointed in this place and so was my husband. Mind you, I had eaten at this place before and I don't remember the service being this bad. Cafe Cubano is gonna be...
