Ordered a caramel latte but their system automatically called it salted caramel. When I made sure I wasn't getting salted caramel, an employee- who I'm guessing is the manager or owner- interjected to let us know it's just the salt on top and they won't put it on but the syrup they hand make does have a bit of salt but nothing more than what it takes to make caramel... The coffee was salty. I didn't see salt on top, the syrup flavor was obviously salted caramel. I asked for a replacement with white chocolate but it was still not drinkable. They had a long line so I left thinking I'd be able to ignore the taste for the caffeine content but I just couldn't get passed the unforgivable taste and ended up tossing it. Then getting home we realized that we received raw donut holes from the fresh batch that was poured into the display in front of us. This shop is so insanely hyped on social media and after going I'm genuinely confused as to why. With the energy the owner/manager (?) gave and the quality of product, it made me not even want to deal with coming in for any type of refund or replacements. Just gonna give out a warning to not follow the hype.

My 1st time trying this cafe and bakery that opened up in Oak Park,IL (Did not know the 1st one is also in Elmhurst, IL) BUT I really liked their cupcakes. I had ordered a French Silk cupcake and a Banana whip cream one and they are both absolutely delicious! I would come back here again and dine in for breakfast to try their other cuisines but to give your business credit come here for their sweet and wholesome cupcakes. I will be back again to dine in for breakfast to try it out! They also had free samples of their croissant bread which was "Yummy! Especially the almond croissant! They are pricey but it is worth it at $4 a cupcake. Sure beats other places I went to in Chicago where I am from.

Highly recommend this place! I visited on a recommendation from the staff at Unity Temple, and I’m so glad I did. I ordered the traditional breakfast, and though the menu listed a biscuit, the staff kindly let me swap it for toast. I opted for scrambled eggs, and I’d definitely suggest adding a sprinkle of pepper—it really enhances the flavor. The jam seems homemade, and both it and the butter were absolutely delicious. The potato wedges were seasoned with herbs and not overly salty, though the portion was a bit more than I could finish. The dining environment is bright and comfortable, and the bar seating by the window even has outlets, which is a nice touch.

We went there for dinner and my daughter who has been there before didn't realize kitchen closes at 4 so got coffee and donuts for kids the young girl behind counter was very sweet. Now let's get into the negative they have an ice cream window on side of store u have to line up outside, there are those parlor doors inside the place dividing that little section, there was a family that came in with a child who u can clearly see he had an earpiece on we can tell he had a disability they had to calm him down a bit husband had the baby mom and looked like grandma were with the boy he looked like he was maybe 8 or 9. They were calming the boy, he wasn't being disruptive, and they got him to sit down at a table the older looking lady went to the guy who was doing the ice creams and asked if he can take the order inside instead of window the worker commented he understood and stated is it a sensory problem she said yes he went over to manager and asked her she told him no, mind u u can eat icecream inside u just can't order it inside the lady stated to the worker that is so wrong can she talk to the manager he said it wasn't managers fault owner put that rule, went to manager and spoke with her we left and i am in shock that a business that looks so kid friendly would deny that request u can clearly see that loud noises bother him and before anyone says than he shouldn't be out they can do watever they want. I felt really bad for that family. If u can eat the ice cream inside there should be an exception for situations like that seeing as more than likely they don't happen often. My grandkids luv that place but will be looking for someplace...

Don’t go there you’ll regret it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The most disgusting place I have ever been to, I can’t express how disgusting it is UNPROFESSIONAL AT ALLL!!!! no servers nobody is actually on ur table, random people bring u the food. I ordered an omelet and usually they cut the vegetables nicely and mix it with the eggs nicely as well, The vegetables were not even cut small pieces, eggs was just as is separately from the vegetables and then they put the vegetables in the middle and then they closed it as a sandwich. There’s no options for you to replace some vegetables that you may not like or allergic to ,Just have to eat it as it is. NOT CLEAN AT ALL!!! Tables were Gross, I had to call someone to clean it!!!!!!!!! Even asking for a hot sauce, they were like we charged the $.75 for that since when honey. Never back there again. Would never recommend it to nobody it’s the most unprofessional restaurant but all the salmon for breakfast or actual eating it’s just for baking or drinks I guess. No one cares about customer service no one cares about their customers in this place. It’s like we’re animals and we have to eat what we received. The person that I asked for the sauce she was rude and she was like next time you order upfront for the sauce but this time I’ll make an exception what is customer service people.. train you are so seems to be more professional. Most horrible horrible horrible restaurant ever. No pictures on the actual menu you guys need to provide pictures if you have a restaurant do it right. I hope someone could see this message that I’m giving to this bakery and breakfast...

update The lovely team at Courageous reached out to me and was very apologetic, and they have taken corrective measures to make sure myself and other customers have a better experience going forward. I really appreciate the effort they have made to establish great customer service at the wonderful neighborhood establishment I know that they are. Thank you very much**

My family and I have been coming here for years and this has always been my "mommy and daughter date" spot for breakfasts and lunches. I'm not sure what's going on lately but it was not up to its usual standards. We ordered the breakfast burrito as usual with added bacon and the young lady taking our order said they don't do that, I'd have to order bacon separately. --I've added bacon to the burrito for years, it's an "add meat" option. But whatever. Ordered two iced coffees and she asked what kind of dairy, I said one black and one with cream--she said "creams behind you". Rude. The burrito was definitely different in flavor in texture. My 11 year old noticed it too, like it was mostly egg (mushy). Lastly, the restrooms now have to be opened with a key, which is completely understandable, however when I went in it was disgusting. Floor and toilet were filthy, toilet paper on the floor and it smelled like onions. There were more than enough staff to keep it clean today, and now with them being locked, there is no excuse. I'll continue to come here because we love the place, the story behind it's creation, and again, it's our mommy/daughter spot. But I hope they get...
