They say that every Filipino restaurant has its own special recipe for adobo, and no two are quite the same. Some are drenched in a thick, tangy sauce, others swim in a spicy, salty broth that perks up the senses, and there are some that seem to have let the meat simmer and tenderize for what seems like the better half of the day so that each morsel is imbued with the delicious flavor as the meat literally melts away from fat and bone. The third option is what you will get here--do not miss out on the pork adobo, please! The lumpia literally made my day, they are so crisp and tender on the inside, so make sure to call ahead and score yourself some of those. They are served fresh with a sweet and sour sauce. One more word of advice and then I promise I'll let you go: get the halo-halo for dessert, just trust me. How can I describe it? If Fruity Pebbles (best cereal ever) was transformed into a concoction of frozen goodness with an absolutely delightful array of titillating textures. There's always a tear shed when you get to the last bite, it's just so good that you never want it to end. Now, stop reading this and get going on it--give Lola Tining's a call and get yourself over to Harlem & Garfield in Oak...
Read moreBeen craving for a Filipino pork bbq for days and googled the nearest place in my area.Today I was sent home early from work and thought i can go get my cravings and ordering for pickup. I was so excited that i can finally get my food and got home after a 30 minute drive with uber pick up and go and get other stuff and BOOM!!! đđđ i was very very very very disappointed that they have to mix old meat bbq with my order. I ordered 12 pork bbqâs and 4 tastes bad and burnt and taste so horrible. Thank goodness i ordered another food in a large container of pork adobo and again, meat were mixed with older ones and đđđ. I know and truly understand itâs not easy to have a restaurant business and if you over cooked for the day and didnât sell, you wasted your time and money but with this kind of business there is always a loss of income but i am pretty sure that they have tried everything to make only the most profitable and food that doesnât spoil right away and make the food that often people want and within their experience they know which food to make. Itâs just sad that they have to survive the business and doesnât want to throw food specially nowadaysâmoney is hardâ im so sorry...
Read moreI am really a fan of Filipino dishes! I really love their style and how their food tastes. My favorite is their garlic fried rice, pork adobo, and their special Crispy Pata. The quality and taste of their food are really amazing. All of their offers here are affordable and fair. You can literally order anything you want without breaking your pocket. I also recommend trying their Halo-halo, itâs a Filipino dessert, and itâs very delicious and authentic! Lots of people keep visiting this place because of the service. All of the staff here is professional, kind, and decent. They will also give you a warm welcome once you enter the place. Just like other Filipino people, the staff here is very hospitable and caring. The whole place is very calming, relaxing, and has a good vibe. This is the best cuisine I have ever been to right here in Oak Park! The portions are big and great. This place is no doubt one of the finest spots in the whole city! You will be always satisfied visiting this spot. Highly recommended! I will continue to recommend this Lola Tiningâs Cuisine to all my friends and relatives. Canât wait to visit again soon! See you...
