This place is very unprofessional!!! I am sitting here wondering if Chauncey Peteet and staff really understand the definition of Pre-orders/especially PAID pre-orders!!! I think the number one question is WHAT WAS THE POINT OF TAKING PRE-ORDERS AND COLLECTING CUSTOMERS MONEY, IF YOU WAS NOT GOING TO FULFILL THEIR ORDERS??? I pre ordered my Packi on Saturday, February 6, 2016. I stopped by Peteet's on Tuesday, expecting to pick my order up only to find a chaotic unorganized place filled with customers trying to pick up their orders. I waited in line for at least 20 mins. before asking to speak with the owner. I explained to Chauncey Peteet that I placed my order and was expecting to walk in and pick them up. I also informed him that I was not able to continue to wait. I asked if it was ok to pick my order up around 5:30 because I had to get to work. Mr. Peteet stated I can pick my order up later. He also said it would really help and guarantee my order if I pay before I leave. I paid for my pre order Packi only to arrive at 5:30 to an even worse CHAOTIC SCENE!!! The line was out the door and down the street. Inside of Peteet's Famous Cheesecakes was HORRIBLE. There was no type of organization. Once I finally made it to the counter I gave them my name. The young lady located my name and order in their book and proceeds to inform me they only have (2) flavors left. I could not believe what I just heard!!! I informed her I was in earlier that day and spoke to the owner who not only collected my money for my order, but ENSURED me that my order would be ready when I return. It appears that Mr. Chauncey Peteet got in way over his head with this PACKI DAY pre order crap!!! I guess his only focus was counting our DOLLARS!!! It is very sad when you try to patronize your own kind only to receive a slap in the face!!! I have heard countless of other people stories about paying and pre ordering only to find out their orders were not fulfill. At what point in your career will you realize the same word of mouth advertisement that had people coming from all over to purchase your packi and cheesecakes can be the same advertisement to bring your businesses to a CLOSE!!! You have to APPRECIATE and RESPECT your customers! Don't let the GREED for MONEY destroy you and your establishments!!! In the future you should develop a system that works for everyone and not just for YOU!!! I am very DISAPPOINTED with you and your customer service! There is an old saying you should pay very close attention to it goes like this: DON'T BITE THE HAND THAT FEEDS YOU!!! No matter how many places you may open up and how well your establishments may be doing that can all be taken away from you when you have SHADY UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS! You have to APPRECIATE & RESPECT your...
Read moreI'm not happy writing this! They have good desserts that I've enjoyed occasionally for many years; however, I will no longer be a customer of this business again!
While in the area I decided to drive a few miles out if my way to buy a bunch of prepared cheesecake slices and other new desserts they had ready to go. I ran into a bunch of construction and had to take 2 detours to get there. I finally arrived and happily walked in the door to see a display full of treats, and then I heard the lady start yelling at me behind the counter. She said loudly that I'd have to leave and that they where closing. I frooze for a minute to take in what had just happened. The only 2 customers a man and a women that were checking out even looked shocked! The man said "wow, is it that serious?". I just said ok and walked out the door then looked at my phone and it was 7 til 5pm. I didn't know they were closing soon, but proper prodigal is not to be yelling behind the counter, but when you're closing, you or someone goes to lock the door, instead.
As someone who managed many retail businesses and now am a business owner of several businesses. This would never be allowed at any of the businesses ever. You never yell out at people coming to support you that walk through the door to spend money, and you never close up before store hours. I was going to buy at least $40 to help clean out the food before the end of the night, but I'll just take my money elsewhere to business that more appreciative and...
Read moreAnytime I'm in the area, I make time to stop here! If you haven't been, there are 3 things that stand out: consistent quality, numerous great tasting options, and great staff (there's one that stand out and I will update this with her name the next time I go).
I've tried many of their cheesecakes: Five Flavor, Key Lime, Strawberry Shortcake Vodka, Peach Cobbler, Strawberry Delight, Carmel Apple, and my personal favorite... The Sweet Potato Cheesecake. Every single slice I've tried was absolutely amazing. Consistently amazing! I have yet to purchase or consume a slice that was less than delicious.
I'm a huge cheesecake fan, so I rarely try any of the dozens of other desert options. My kids love the cookies, especially the superman. I tried the banana pudding 2 visits ago, which was also good. And during my last visit I noticed dessert cups (I think called Cake in a Cup) that looked intriguing, but I couldn't pass up on my usual cheesecake. If you're a dessert fan I'm sure you can find something that'll keep you coming back. Do yourself a favor and visit. You're one taste away from becoming a...
