Our experience at Aji Ceviche Bar was absolutely delightful from beginning to end. This place has to be one of the best hidden gems in Orlando and anyone that has the pleasure of dining here is simply a lucky, lucky guy.
We were visiting from out of town and my family kept raving about this place, so we made it our first stop on the itinerary. I can't even tell you how many times the "wows" and the "omgs" were said since the moment we were greeted with the most delicious complimentary ceviche shooters and cancha serrana.
The menu is incredibly extensive cause they have pretty much everything so it took us a while to order, as everything coming to our neighboring tables looked so jaw-dropping. Finally, we ordered several juices, shakes, appetizers and different entrees for everybody. Everything, and I can't stress this enough, every single bite was absolutely DIVINE.
Peruvian food is so complex and special that it's really hard to make it taste exactly the same as it does in actual Peruvian soil, so how do they accomplish such task in the middle of Central Florida? All we can say is hats off to the chef!
Don't be fooled by its humble appearance from the outside. This place is in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking. It's relatively medium sized, and it does get busy. But the decor is very modern and the restaurant is super clean and comfortable. Perfect for special occasions, such as family reunions, dates, birthdays, etc.
The prices are very reasonable and the portions are HUGE. But even if the sizes are enough to share, we recommend ordering different items still and take the rest for later because you will want to make of this spot a total palatable experience. Truly an upscale gourmet experience at an affordable price.
The service is top notch. Super professional, knowledgeable and well-trained staff. Everyone, including the chef makes sure you are satisfied and not missing anything at all times.
The bottom line is... you may have lots of Peruvian/Colombian hybrids and other Peruvian restaurants all over Orlando, all good indeed, but this one stands alone on all things incredible. So if you haven't been, I wouldn't hesitate to make the trip here for much longer. And if you're from out of town and are coming in to visit family or visit the parks, add this spot to your itinerary to make a great experience a truly supreme one. Your family will be so impressed with your pick!
We will need to come back to Orlando more often to get our authentic...
Read moreI would say that they are one of my favorites Peruvian restaurants, but the first one. It's food is very tasty and represents the Peruvian gastronomy very well. I would have given them 5 stars, but there is 2 things that I don't like: first, we are still living a pandemic situation and they are having the restaurant completely full and they aren't keeping the social distancing measures between tables nor they have the limited capacity setting inside according to the official regulations of the restaurants have to be done. Second, I ordered for pickup 2 juices with no sugar and when I arrived to my house I realized that the juices not only had sugar, but had a lot of sugar. Those juices were for diabetic persons, so they couldn't drink them and we have to throw them. I wrote them to customer service in their email about my complaint and they never answered me.
Read moreI totally love the food at this location and I’ve never had a complain about the service. However, my last experience was awful. I know they are always busy, but my little daughter and I had to grab a bite after a long day at a park and before driving back home for 2.5 hours. They didn’t have a table, so I asked if we could sit at the bar, and we did. Worst experience ever. They forgot our drinks, they never checked on us, and when I saw tables available asked if we can move there, they told us no, because there were people waiting, understood! I monitored a table for 15 minutes and nobody sat there. I asked again and they said they were waiting on another table to become available to put them together for a bigger party. They brought our to-go food to the bar, making our space to eat even smaller. We got our food and ate uncomfortable, no mention my 4 years old unable to reach her plate, we finished our meal and the table was still available. At that point I was like, they are not getting my 20% tip this time, due to such a horrible experience, but their 18% tip was automatically added to my check on the the food we ate there and the food to go. I thought tip is added for 6+ parties, not on 2 people party eating at the bar very uncomfortable. Come on, I am sure they could have accommodated us in the small table, so we can eat comfortable and enjoy our meal before our long drive, instead having it available for us to see it while eating uncomfortable. I really hope servers can developed a little bit of empathy for...
