Late-Night Tapas at Santiago’s Bodega – You Won’t Go to Sleep Hungry!

We had never tried Peruvian food, so it was a novel experience for us. The restaurant is a small space and we had to be seated on a table outside. But that was fine. The good food made it up for us. The restaurant has a small bar and it looked good. We asked our server about the peruvian food and she suggested we try out some seafood and so we did. She brought us a couple of shots of leche de tigre, with some fried corn. The leche de tigre was absolutely refreshing. It was citrusy and bursting with flavors. It didn't take long before we got both our orders; the grilled seafood; Parrilla Marina de Mariscos and the Arroz Sin Censura. The grilled seafood had wonderful seasoning and it was grilled really good. The octopus was nice and soft and the calamari was a little chewy but not that bad. The arroz sin censura was really awesome. The rice with cheese, calamari, octopus and white wine really awesome. It is a must have at their restaurant in my opinion. The lucuma drink was another highlight of the dining experience there. It was so smooth and creamy. I would have loved to try out other dishes, too but I was already full, probably next time. I would definitely highly recommend this place but I would probably call beforehand to enquire about the occupancy. I saw a lot of people waiting and leaving while I was there. The prices are not too bad. You kind of expect these prices for seafood and the quality of food. It was totally worth it. I highly recommend this place!!!!

After a disappointing dining experience at Mares, we were determined to turn things around based on our Uber driver John’s recommendation. Today, we visited Ají Ceviche, a Peruvian restaurant, and it was a perfect 5-star experience! From the moment we walked in, the wait staff at Ají Ceviche was courteous, knowledgeable about the entire menu, and incredibly friendly. Our waitress, Fabiola, was an absolute gem—attentive, accommodating, and truly made our visit memorable. Every restaurant should have someone like Fabiola! We started with the Pulpo anticuchero as an appetizer, which was absolutely delightful. For our main courses, we enjoyed the Pescado a lo macho, Arroz Norteño, and the Leche de Tigre de Ají Amarillo—all made to order, fresh, and bursting with authentic flavors. To complement our meal, we indulged in pisco sours that transported us back to Peru with every sip. The attention to detail in both food and drinks was impeccable. One tip—get there early! The restaurant fills up quickly, and by the time we left, there were people waiting outside for a table. It’s clearly a local favorite, and now we know why. Ají Ceviche exceeded our expectations in every way, and we’re already looking forward to returning when we’re back in Orlando. Highly recommended for anyone craving genuine Peruvian cuisine and exceptional service!

Our experience at Aji Ceviche Bar was absolutely delightful from beginning to end. This place has to be one of the best hidden gems in Orlando and anyone that has the pleasure of dining here is simply a lucky, lucky guy.

We were visiting from out of town and my family kept raving about this place, so we made it our first stop on the itinerary. I can't even tell you how many times the "wows" and the "omgs" were said since the moment we were greeted with the most delicious complimentary ceviche shooters and cancha serrana.

The menu is incredibly extensive cause they have pretty much everything so it took us a while to order, as everything coming to our neighboring tables looked so jaw-dropping. Finally, we ordered several juices, shakes, appetizers and different entrees for everybody. Everything, and I can't stress this enough, every single bite was absolutely DIVINE.

Peruvian food is so complex and special that it's really hard to make it taste exactly the same as it does in actual Peruvian soil, so how do they accomplish such task in the middle of Central Florida? All we can say is hats off to the chef!

Don't be fooled by its humble appearance from the outside. This place is in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking. It's relatively medium sized, and it does get busy. But the decor is very modern and the restaurant is super clean and comfortable. Perfect for special occasions, such as family reunions, dates, birthdays, etc.

The prices are very reasonable and the portions are HUGE. But even if the sizes are enough to share, we recommend ordering different items still and take the rest for later because you will want to make of this spot a total palatable experience. Truly an upscale gourmet experience at an affordable price.

The service is top notch. Super professional, knowledgeable and well-trained staff. Everyone, including the chef makes sure you are satisfied and not missing anything at all times.

The bottom line is... you may have lots of Peruvian/Colombian hybrids and other Peruvian restaurants all over Orlando, all good indeed, but this one stands alone on all things incredible. So if you haven't been, I wouldn't hesitate to make the trip here for much longer. And if you're from out of town and are coming in to visit family or visit the parks, add this spot to your itinerary to make a great experience a truly supreme one. Your family will be so impressed with your pick!

We will need to come back to Orlando more often to get our authentic...

I would say that they are one of my favorites Peruvian restaurants, but the first one. It's food is very tasty and represents the Peruvian gastronomy very well. I would have given them 5 stars, but there is 2 things that I don't like: first, we are still living a pandemic situation and they are having the restaurant completely full and they aren't keeping the social distancing measures between tables nor they have the limited capacity setting inside according to the official regulations of the restaurants have to be done. Second, I ordered for pickup 2 juices with no sugar and when I arrived to my house I realized that the juices not only had sugar, but had a lot of sugar. Those juices were for diabetic persons, so they couldn't drink them and we have to throw them. I wrote them to customer service in their email about my complaint and they never answered me.

I totally love the food at this location and I’ve never had a complain about the service. However, my last experience was awful. I know they are always busy, but my little daughter and I had to grab a bite after a long day at a park and before driving back home for 2.5 hours. They didn’t have a table, so I asked if we could sit at the bar, and we did. Worst experience ever. They forgot our drinks, they never checked on us, and when I saw tables available asked if we can move there, they told us no, because there were people waiting, understood! I monitored a table for 15 minutes and nobody sat there. I asked again and they said they were waiting on another table to become available to put them together for a bigger party. They brought our to-go food to the bar, making our space to eat even smaller. We got our food and ate uncomfortable, no mention my 4 years old unable to reach her plate, we finished our meal and the table was still available. At that point I was like, they are not getting my 20% tip this time, due to such a horrible experience, but their 18% tip was automatically added to my check on the the food we ate there and the food to go. I thought tip is added for 6+ parties, not on 2 people party eating at the bar very uncomfortable. Come on, I am sure they could have accommodated us in the small table, so we can eat comfortable and enjoy our meal before our long drive, instead having it available for us to see it while eating uncomfortable. I really hope servers can developed a little bit of empathy for...
