I really love this place and try to come here at least once every other week, the food is outstanding and up until yesterday all of the staff were always very nice and welcoming. I'm always very happy to come in and see Jessica, she's one of the best servers I've ever had when it comes to anywhere I've eaten but this time we got a new server named Frank. He seemed pretty nice at first but as the night went on he made us feel more and more uncomfortable, first by being upset with us that the way we split the bill was sort of unconventional (my partner and I payed for our own meals but they covered the appetizer completely, so it wasn't a perfect split I guess), he rushed us to order, later on in the day he got very upset that when asked about if we want our change back my partner said he can keep it as a tip specifically by going "Do you want your change, it's a yes or no question", proceeded to get mad that we didn't know you could directly hand the server their tip, and as we were leaving he made fun of me for pushing the bell peppers in my food to the side which I understand is a little bit of a waste of food but the texture of them makes me sick since I have autism and I feel like asking them to remove the peppers from the dish is just more inconvenient, especially when I'm fine with the taste. Another con other than just him is the fried calamari, it's $10 to order and I used to feel like it was worth it with how much they gave you especially when we first started coming there but we got maybe 12 pieces of it all together when it used to be a whole basketful. We still plan to come here especially because the signature ramen has become one of my favourite things to eat ever and I still recommend this place, I just can no longer recommend the calamari due to how little you get and I hope Frank becomes a little less aggressive for seemingly no reason because we could also tell he was new and we want him to do well here. Everyone else is absolutely delightful, there's a younger gentleman with black hair who always greets us and is very polite, and as previously stated we love Jessica. We just want this...
Read moreI ate here with my husband and son. They said their ramen was good. I ordered mine gluten free. The last time I ate there, they told me my noodles were gluten free and I had a reaction. This time I double checked and they were egg noodles. Evidently the chef believes that egg noodles are naturally gluten free. Egg noodles have 2 ingredients. Egg and wheat. They remade my food but by the time I got it, everyone else was done. My server was really good. He offered a discount on the bill. mistakes happen and we would’ve come back. When we received the bill, however, there was no discount. We were told that he was instructed not to give the discount. The chef believed his egg noodles were gluten-free and that we just wanted to switch our food to rice noodles. This was a little shocking to us. After making your customer sick the first time, and giving the wrong noodle the second time, you would think they would want to make the customs happy. To offer a discount and then have of taken away is the reason we will never come back. What’s even more baffling is that they then gave us a five dollar off $25 on a future purchase. If you were fine with offering a five dollar discount on a future purchase, why not just discount the bill five dollars? This restaurant needs to take allergies seriously. Again, egg noodles are not gluten-free. Please look it up on Google....
