There's so much potential for this Dining Pavilion. They need new management because it's a mess. Maybe someone from Xanterra can help. I don't work for Xanterra and they do have a bit of not so great history, but the parks they do serve are much more organized and they have better, healthier food selections.
Good stuff: There are several locations inside and out of this building where you can get food, so there are options. Plenty of places to sit. You can get alcoholic drinks at the bar inside.
Bad stuff: Long story short, there are long lines just to order food and you have to wait a long time to receive it. For example, we waited about 40 minutes for our pizza and probably about the same amount of time at the bar. The bar was worth it though.
The bar is a popular place not only for alcoholic drinks, but they have the best food selection yet they have the smallest room. The Seven Tents has a very large area, but they serve the same thing everyday: pasta. There is no line in their area. Who is...
Read moreMy family and i stayed in curry village and unfortunately there is no cooking allowed on site so we came here to have dinner. There were a decent amount of options including vegetarian, we tried the baked ziti with meatballs, soup and salad, as well as hamburgers and wings that were ordered at the bar. The flavor was not good and we all noticed feeling a little sick after eating the meat (meatballs and hamburger patties) But worst of all were the wings. They seemed undercooked, gummy texture, and the flavor was horrendous. I believe it was topped off with tajin powder which was very off-putting, we ended up tossing the entire plate of wings. The service wasn’t the best either and we waited 40 minutes for the hamburgers and wings to be delivered to our table. If you are visiting yosemite i would say you’re better off going elsewhere and cooking you own food. The only thing i recommend from here is...
Read moreFood/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 - we got an order of Southern Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. The chicken was moist and flavorful and we got a piece of breast, leg, and thigh for white and dark meat. The mashed potatoes were a little sour this time to our disappointment. The gravy was still savory and an amazing compliment. The grilled vegetables were just mushrooms and broccoli that were salted. Enough food to satisfy 2
Ambience: 5/5 - cafeteria style to select and pay for food. The eating area is simple but there is a fireplace on the side. There are also wall decorations with some history to Yosemite and Curry Village
Service: 5/5 - same workers as previous week and all are still super nice
Value for price: 5/5 - worth and would be happy...
