Read moreI think the low reviews are a little unjustified for the place. It’s a national park, you can not go in expecting good and cheap food. The food here from my experience is mediocre leaning good and the prices are reasonable for a national park.
I got to try the carne asada tacos and the SW chicken salad. The tacos were street tacos and honestly not that bad. I’m mexican myself so I’ve honestly had way better, but for a NPS food establishment, I was happily surprised with the food. Street taco style with corn tortillas, lime, onion, and cilantro. Not too much to desire but still great after a day of hiking in the middle of nowhere.
The SW chicken salad was a little disappointing. I didn’t expect a pre-boxed food item when ordering. It was decent but a little expensive for the portion. I would’ve went without it next time and just got more tacos.
Overall, I’d recommend the place. It’s better and cheaper than most food i’ve had at other national parks and think people are a little harsh. We’re in the yosemite...
Read moreI'll base my review of what I've had at other national parks or "captive audience" settings. 1st price good luck getting more food for what you pay for anywhere else in a similar setting with in the US. 2nd service the line was quick and they were slightly flexible on our orders even though the sign said no modifications to menu items. The only thing that could improve is the notification on when your order is ready as a person will yell out your order #. Perhaps a number board could be a good addition. 3rd and last food quality. Once again I've had better food but these were well better than average.
We ate here the night before we left for the backcountry and 5 days later when we got out it was the first place we hit-up for real food
Guessing the 1 stars are a bunch of pretentious a-holes that are posing at a national park...
