Wow!!! The "A+" burger could not be more properly named! It is one of my all time favorite burgers, although I would recommend having them add fresh jalapenos. ;) The A+ burger comes with bacon, cheese, and fried eggplant, which is all ridiculously good together. Only the shack stack burger from shake shack can compete with this burger for quality and ingredients. I don't know if it is just because they recently opened but the quality, love, and attention that goes into these burgers is top notch! I hope they can keep that up when they become more busy. The pork katsu burger was good, with once again good quality ingredients but I think it lacked a little umami brown sauce or a persoak of the cabbage in some spicy, slightly sweet, vinegar. My only disappointment was the bun which was ok (better if buttered and griddled or brushed lightly and sprinkled lightly with coarse salt), and the pickles which were horrible. Luckily the pickles were only in the sides bar and not on the burger, but every classic burger place should pride itself in good pickles (a la super duper or shake shack) and I think A+ could knock the ball out of the park with some interesting Korean/Japanese inspired pickles, or other fun pickles items (daikon, carrots, kimchi, etc)

I have passed by this place for years and never felt convinced of giving it a try, however I saw so many amazing reviews, positive comments about their eggplant burger, I was finally sold! First I asked the cashier which burger she liked better between the Teriyaki and the A+, shockingly she replied she has never tried them, I asked for the turkey one, zero, she’s never tried the food she sells period 😶. I kept reading the menu and a second cashier offered help, she had tried the menu and she recommended the A+, by then I was super curious about the eggplant since folks say is crispy and delicious. I ordered a vegan eggplant sandwich and garlic fries. The fries were the best part! The sandwich looked good but had a thick-as-my-finger slice of whole onion, I took two rings and covered the eggplant patties. My sandwich had a large scoop of coleslaw and a thick layer of tomato and lettuce, all soggy and wilted by the heat of the fried eggplant. The eggplant was strangely thin on the edges and fat, raw and rubbery in the rest. Inedibly raw and rubbery… 🥴 Pretty much I paid $12.50 for a soggy bun with wilted veggies and lots of mayo. The fries were alright but more oily than garlicky, a true disappointment. The burgers may be good, I will never know! I checked the website to ask for a refund but the only contact info they have is their phone number, not an email address. I called and was put on hold so, Google it is! A+ if you see this, I would like a refund. Thanks!

I was excited to try the juicy and monstrous burgers I've seen from other reviews here and came by on a Monday evening. I ordered the A+ burger and shared an order of chili fries with my husband. Unfortunately, neither of us were impressed with the flavors or the prices. The burger is indeed impressively sizeable and has a lot of sauce all around, but the meat was cooked dry, the sauce was too sweet for my liking, and it would honestly have been an upgrade if they'd used an onion ring or two instead of eggplant (and more cost-efficient for the restaurant, too). I personally love eggplant, so it's really saying something when I feel that my beloved mush doesn't complement the meal. Don't let me get started on the chili fries. The staff originally sent gave us an order of regular fries (which actually had decent crisp to them), and when we notified them of their mistake, they came out later with a dinky container of chili dip, topped with some cheese and raw veggies. When we asked, they said that's how they usually serve it, too. We were skeptical and didn't complain until we tried it... but man. The chili tasted like something from Wienerschnitzel, which isn't to bash them, but why would we spend $5 on Wienerschnitzel chili fries that aren't even assembled? I just felt like this place left me with a lot of questions and doesn't really make sense. Take an A+ for burger size, I guess, but that's the only A I can give them.

As with most places, if you're anywhere between mediocre and pretty good, you don't get noticed. That's just psychology. You wanna hear about the A's and the F's. Not the B's, C's and D's. That's why a lot of the 'decent' or 'okay' places have such short reviews. Well, I'm happy to talk about A+, and it should be obvious at this point which camp it falls into. Their presentation game is on point, and the tastes and flavors live up to that high expectation. At 9 and change for just the burger, this isn't cheap, but its one of the few place i'd say justifies the price with its quality. The Fried green beans were quite nice as well - The crispiness held up well over time and the beans inside were cooked proper. They still had a vibrant green color and good texture. Overall, I'd say that, This place has a pretty pretentious name. But they do back it up with a compelling offering. I'd come back more often if not for the fact that I was only in the area on a job site visit, and its a bit too far from SJ for a typical workday lunch.

Definitely a go to classy burger joint. Clean and relaxed atmosphere good flowers on and around a chill outdoor patio. WiFi password is posted and obvious to read which is a bonus. Ordered the A+burger and was incredibly satisfied. The burger was around $10 (pre-covid) however it was super large and definitely worth the money. When I say large it actually was incredible, the width of my entire face with a huge patty, not to mention it comes included with bacon cheese onions tomatoes and two types of sauce. There is cheaper stuff on the menu, my friend's cheese burger also seemed sufficient for half the price. Wish I would have tried the Korean themed menu items but it only gives me a great reason to come back.

Their signature A+ burger is amazing. Got it medium without cheese and it was cooked perfectly. All the ingredients are fresh and crisp. The bun was buttery and soft. Bacon and lettuce added a bit of crunch and the eggplant just took it to another level. If anything, maybe the burger was too full, but I think that’s great if the ingredients are high quality which they are. Definitely also give the green bean fries a try! It’s definitely a more premium burger, but I’m totally willing to keep paying for it if it’s consistently this good. Will be back to try other menu items. Outdoor patio is cute but music was just a bit loud. Don’t think there’s dedicated parking but street parking is available.
