Really disappointed. I paid $29 and change for a shrimp bento box and 1 can of soda. I ate it only because I was starving and visiting CA from the Midwest and didn’t have time to return to ask them for a replacement. The shrimp was old and overcooked like it was sitting in stew for 5 days, plus one had poop still stringing along with it, the flavor of the shrimp seasoning was good but how could I enjoy old hard shrimp? The sides were only salad with lettuce and carrot slices, japchae with a few carrot slices but again old and hard, and cucumber kimchi (that was good). Plus a container of sticky rice. Not even a bowl of soup. The sauce was very oily even tho the taste was good w the peppers sliced in. I still can’t believe I first of all waited for this food for 15-20 minutes and then paid $29 for it when I could have gotten a fresh Japanese bento box w salmon for $17 with soup and rice and tempura and salad and little California rolls. I tried to be nice to support Korean food biz owners but come on…can people even afford that and much less eat that? If I paid $8.99 I could understand. But not $29. I took only one picture bc I was so down trodden that I barely made any effort to...

Underwhelmed. They were very nice and welcoming when I first got there; I had a couple of questions. Being in a strip mall, I thought the price was high, and I thought the portion would be small. (That was my question) I was wrong. The portion is a good size. However a bit Underwhelmed as I had the bulgogi (Marinated beef), didn't think the seasoning was as strong as it could have been, I ended up not finishing it I threw it out...While I was there they had to speak with a previous customer on the phone...after they were loudly complaining about the customer while cooking my food, which I thought was unprofessional. Perhaps this is what had an impact on the food not being as up to par.. To be fair, I would try it again as it could have just been a bad night. It was slow. I was the only one there, and I do believe in...

Oh gosh, I can't believe I haven't been here sooner! So delicious!

There's a lot of good Korean food in Oakland and this unassuming place is better than most, plus a ridiculously good value.

My partner ordered the flounder bento, and her fish was huge and perfect; the rest of the bento was also great. (As I was writing this, she said to me, "I can't wait to go there again.")

My bibimbap was excellent & they happily substituted tofu in place of meat upon request (was not on the menu). Banchan was fresh & tasty.

Losing the school business from across the street has got to be hard on this place, and we really want them to survive the pandemic, so please order your...

Went here with a friend to grab a quick bite. Restaurant is located in a small strip mall with 3-4 other businesses around a shared parking lot. The space is a little dingy / not super inviting and when we went the bathroom was not available. There were some small tables with chairs and a TV playing in the background. I ordered veggie bibimbap and my friend got the kim chi fried rice. I asked for a little extra of one of the sides and was told no which was a little disappointing.... I mean it was a vegetable and we were the only people in there on a quiet night. But I loaded up on hot sauce and made it into smaller 2 meals. Not my favorite Korean spot but a solid choice all around.
