Best Coast Burritos — Restaurant in Oakland

I’ve worked in the food industry for 3 years before my current job and wow, haven’t seen employees this socially inept, not even working at McDonalds. I go here once a month bc it’s next to my hair cut place and the food is GOOD when the manager is on duty. Every time I’ve visited when she’s not, the food is STALE and I really regret spending the money. They have 3 girls on duty that are all identical with matching yoga pants and eyelashes u can see waving at you from the parking lot and I’ve never seen a collective group of people make it so obvious that they hate their job and don’t want you or themselves...

I've ate at this place twice. First time I went, I ordered tacos with a side of rice and beans. As soon as I opened my container I could tell something was really rancid. My husband could smell it from across the table. We informed the employee and they threw it out the rice because it smelled horrible. Today I ordered from this place again, to give it another chance, and the agua fresca jamaica was rancid. It was twice now we were given rancid items at this place. I was trying to give them another chance but given a rancid drink is so gross! Never again...

Clean place. Unfortunately, my food tasted like one of those Mexican food places where non-mexican people run it🙁. Or, where they sell burgers AND some Mexican food. (I only tried the refried beans, rice, chips and salsa). 2☆'s out of 5 on flavor. 5☆'s on cleanliness and order speed and convenience.

...Oddly, I've eaten the "beyond burrito" multiple times from the Best Coast on Powell st Emeryville, and it's one of the best burritos I've ever had. For a long time, I didn't even realize that both of these places were the same restaurants...
