Oh... well... now! Have I got stories to tell! Gather around and listen to my tales of intrigue!
I must say with this location being open now, it takes away from the special-ness of going to a Chick-fil-A. When I was living in San Diego, it was kinda meh at best. There were better options available in the Sports Arena area. Mainly superior Mexican food á la California burritos and carne asada fries. Fast forward a decade, and living in Oakland, I would have to drive out to Walnut Creek or Vallejo to enjoy that special chicken sandwich. The Walnut Creek location is always insane. The drive-thru line was out in the street, and if you weren't careful, a rear-ending away. So one parks, but the lot is shared with 24 Hour Fitness with signs everywhere saying it isn't Chick-fil-A parking. Taking the gamble and parking there anyway all the while looking out for the parking gustapo to ticket, tow or make one's life miserable in general for a sandwich. The Vallejo location seems lost in a sea of big box locations, off a freeway in Lord knows where. Where am I and how did I get here? Oh, is this America now? Yes...
So, when I found out that the vacant Panera Bread was becoming a Chick-fil-A, I kinda froze in terror. That intersection is bad because of a variety of reasons: the 3-way traffic light, the traffic on 40th Street, the traffic trying to get to Mandela Parkway, Target traffic, (certain times of year) holiday traffic, and let's not forget traffic traffic. Oh, and the old person home across the street that has an ambulance on stand by. I was really terrorized by the thought of a drive-thru there and what chaos might ensue. But, to my surprise, no drive-thru.
Well now, this Chick-fil-A location is open now and has been for a few months. I come here once every couple of months. I prefer breakfast here and their super tasty egg white grill muffins! 😋 I do stop in for lunch/dinner sometimes, too. I had a bit of a cough and wanted to wait outside for my order to be called. The door was open, and I could stand outside, enjoy the weather, and not bother others while they were enjoying their Chick-fil-A. When Jon Hopper, in the flesh, closed the door! I felt a little defeated! I was enjoying a small bit of happiness and that door, in a flash, closed! I went inside to the air conditioning and defeat. MY PLEASURE!!?!
Oh, but now we are on to the greatest defeat of them all. I was going far far away to the land of the Jolliest of bees. It's a chicken chain restaurant reference, don't worry. It was early and I went to Chick-fil-A for sustenance on my journey. I happily put my order away, saving it for my journey. Now, by this point, I am several thousand miles away in the back of a pressuized aluminum can. I was somewhere off the east coast of Japan. Sure, sure...I was reasonably comfortable and well fed but I thought I had 1 more egg white grill muffin to enjoy. But, to my horror and dismay, there was 1 egg white grill muffin missing from my order. To say I was devastated was putting mildly as I had absolutely no recourse! I was over 6000 miles away, 6 miles up, and if you consider the international dateline, on a Sunday. I could do nothing. To salt my wound, the extra egg white grill muffin had been paid for with reward points. 900 to be exact. It took awhile to earn that many reward points. Is it a humble brag? Yeah but no. I wanted something special for my odyssey through international waters. Was there a Chick-fil-A nearby to rectify the situation? No! I think if I squint a little at the horizon, it's just another 5900 miles away. The other side of the dateline, it's still Saturday. Maybe, the JolliBee knew I was coming and stung me in anticipation and did his little Jolly dance afterwards.
That's my Emeryville Chick-fil-A experience. Your...

VIVI WROTE ME AGAIN AND OFFERED ME A SCANNABLE CODE BY EMAIL...
CHICK-FIL-A CORPORATE GOT IN TOUCH WITH ME REALLY FAST THIS MORNING AND OFFERED ME SOME SCANNABLE CODES AS WELL!
I've been a loyal customer with these people on third-party ordering systems like Doordash for the last few months
I've even written to their customer service when I couldn't order online/and they thanked me and they suggested that they will come back online for delivery and
Prices were high and I put up with it and the prices went down but I couldn't believe what happened to me today
I trusted them because their salads were good I would order their salads they're $6 plus taxes and fees they're nearly $8
6.09+taxes and FEES
I have been ordering them and I was really satisfied with how they loaded on a lot of tomatoes and onions and cucumber
I have attached a picture of what I got/ this must be how they take advantage of the lunch time crowds?!
It is unbelievable I got nothing but half a bucket of lettuce a few pieces of shredded cheese and two little cherry tomatoes for $8!
What a way to disrespect your loyal customer...
:-(
I let doordash know what was going on... They tried to offer me just 1.75 in credits and I reiterated that it was almost like the whole item was missing because there was so much missing... I tried to chat with an agent but there was nobody available for over 10 minutes... Though it said 1 minute...
I realize that this wasn't just an ingredient missing for Doordash to waive the tax and FEES...
Salad would still not be worth $6 it's an outrageous flop
It's about 25 to 30 cents in lettuce and maybe 25 or 30 cents in tomatoe🍅
DID NOT INCLUDE ANY SALAD DRESSING EITHER! THE SALAD WAS BASICALLY A THROWAWAY/ IT WOULD BE A WASTE TO EVEN USE THE SALAD DRESSING I HAD FROM BEFOREHAND...
It's got multiple ingredients missing SO it's no different than the salad just never came... It's a completely missing item it's a joke!
I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THE CHICK-FIL-A COULD MISS THE ONIONS THE RADISH THE EXTRA TOMATOES THE USUAL AMOUNT OF CHEESE IS THE SALAD DRESSING ETC ...🥗.... I don't understand how the salad could be 1/3 the usual volume!
Again I think it's because it's lunch time and people in offices don't have time...

I recently had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience at the Chick-fil-A in Emeryville. To put it simply, this was one of the worst customer service encounters I've ever had.
Firstly, they managed to forget my drinks not once, but multiple times. It's mind-boggling that a basic part of any fast-food order could be so consistently overlooked. I had to double back three times just to get what should have been a simple part of my meal. The lack of attention and organization from the staff is completely unacceptable.
Moreover, the sheer negligence continued with the lack of sauces for my order. It's astonishing how something as basic as including condiments was completely forgotten. This only added to my growing frustration and highlighted the lack of care and attention to detail in their service.
Moving on to the food itself, the salad I ordered was a huge disappointment. Not only was it small in size, but the lettuce used tasted like cheap iceberg lettuce. The lack of quality and effort in their ingredients was evident. For a restaurant that claims to offer premium food, this was a significant letdown.
To make matters worse, my 30-piece nugget order was short by four nuggets. It's not only a matter of quantity but also a reflection of the restaurant's lack of consistency and accuracy in fulfilling orders. Additionally, the large waffle fry I received was barely filled, leaving me with a sense of dissatisfaction and feeling like I didn't get my money's worth.
On top of all these issues, the poor packaging of my daughter's fruit cup resulted in me cutting my finger on the sharp edge of the lid. This kind of oversight in packaging safety is inexcusable and raises serious concerns about the overall quality control standards at Chick-fil-A Emeryville.
Overall, this experience has left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. The repeated mistakes, lack of attention to detail, subpar food quality, and even safety hazards with packaging make it impossible for me to recommend Chick-fil-A Emeryville. I strongly urge the management to take immediate action to address these issues and improve their customer service if they want to retain any semblance of...
