Iām not gonna lie to you Target does have good customer service. I love shopping at Richmond. I love shopping at Bayfair in San leandro. I love the Pino one they have excellent customer service over there but recently I actually went to the target in Emeryville. They do have good customer service when they come down to employees helping you out. I get them a Five star but when I came down to management. I had to give the store at three so I want to explain this. I do do retail a long time ago. I used to work at another competitor. Theyāre not closed now. It was called Circuit city even though we did customer service no matter what the customers always right they could be right there could be wrong so I went in there and bought me a ninja slushy smoothie machine. Regular price was $349.99. Was on sale for $299.99 so basically it took off $50 off OK, so I understand that but for some reason, Iām gonna post pictures of it because on the ninja foodie in the ad on the app, it says you get a $30 gift card and when I went up there yesterday on Saturday on October 11 cause I bought my slushy machine on 10 October of this month 2025. The manager was gonna honor it and go ahead and gave me the actual $30 gift card, but she actually looked at it and said if you click right here it says online only purchase OK so I get that but itās not my fault that it didnāt say that because when you click on it, it says select purchases on the slushy machine so they couldāve gave me the $30 gift card regardless If it was $299 because it said a $30 gift card when you buy it Iām trying to explain that to the manager today that this is my third time coming up here and now you guys got it for a $50 gift card but you still wanna honor it and you tell that guy to call corporate so corporate Target I hope you hear this. Iām gonna call yāall on Tuesday. Iām a little bit upset. I wasted my time my money on an Uber to get there to see if I can get my gift card and that store did not help me out. Iām buried disappointed because the lady at customer service said bring your tone down. I didnāt have a attitude I was getting upset because I didnāt come up sideways. I made it very clear that the customers always right, but yāall expect me to come back and bring back the unit and re-buy it and so I can get the gift card. No do I recommend going back to target maybe but not at that store I want. and the manager at the store, his name is Arturo. He didnāt give me his last and he gave me his first name and that kind of sucks. He should give me his first name and last name as a manager and what he couldāve did was say you know what Mr. Butler I am so sorry for the inconvenience even though you were here yesterday they couldāve gave you the $30 gift card no harm no foul even though it was an error on Targetās part of the app that I couldāve ordered it on the app and it still picked it up at the target store but today it says a $50 gift card in store or online purchase only but they want me to bring back the slushy machine so I can re-buy it as original price versus them taking off another $50 off and putting it on towards a gift card. Thatās all they couldāve did to avoid all this scenario. Iāve been up there three times. I am tired and thatās why I gave it a three star rating. Do I recommend it if you wanna go there Iām not gonna tell nobody not to shop there. The shop there cause I love shopping at target like I said I love all target stores. I didnāt like the way how they try to reverse that psychology on customer service on me that aināt gonna work that way and itās kind of weird ever since these storage closed down. The only competitor you got is Walmart and Amazon but when I looked at the customer service sign, they took down their price match guarantee and I know they got a price match guarantee at their own target facility but I will. I hope corporate seasons and I will go corporate corporation a call from Target and I hope they reach out to me and let me know whatās going on cause all Iām asking for is my gift card thatās it bad service Iām...

This was very disappointing as their store policy states the following: Only one manufacturer coupon (paper or Cartwheel digital), one Target coupon (paper or digital), and one Cartwheelā offer can be combined per item (unless otherwise noted on coupon). We have the right to refuse, or limit the use of any coupon and/or the subsequent return for any reason, including if guests' reoccurring behavior becomes disruptive or the items are deemed not to be for the purpose of using or gifting. Limit of 4 identical coupons per household, per day (unless otherwise noted on coupon). I was trying to purchase 3 tide pod products, nothing out of the ordinary. So why the need to refuse the coupons? I don't know why anyone would ever want to shop at this store? I explained to the CSM that their policy states otherwise and she proceeded to tell me how they have the right to refuse the coupons period!
The whole experience was unpleasant. When we first stepped up to the cash register the cashier was on her cell phone speaking to someone very loudly. She was obviously on a personal call. She didn't care we had stepped up to be rung up and continued to carry out her conversation until we said hello. After seeing we had 3 coupons she immediately let me know that they stopped taking coupons as of three months ago. She turns to her coworker who agrees with her. She proceeds to call the CSM on duty who comes in and is told as soon as she approaches " Tell them that they can only use 1 coupon per purchase" The CSM looks at the coupons examining them as they were fraudulent or something and says we can only take one. I said since when since your policy states otherwise. She continues and says we have the right to refuse the coupons. She never bothered giving me a reason. Turns around and as she does I ask her for her name. She says Jasmine with an attitude to which her coworker realizes she said with an attitude. You could tell she didn't really care about my experience at the store. As if my business did not matter. I am surprised as most companies thrive on giving their customers the best customer service possible. This is not the first time I have a bad experience at this store. I try not to frequent it too often and will never step foot in the store again. I will also let my coworkers know they should go to different store if they really need to...

People that donāt really wanna be there but put on their best smiles and force greetings and professionalism to secure the bag š (get paid). However Harley who works at Starbucks completely blew my mind and left me with the most fulfilling and satisfying experience Iāve had with most individuals working in retail business. It was immediately obvious that Harley has no affectation in her nature. I truly appreciate Harley enough to type this review because most jobs Iāve worked, including this same Target, they train us to be able to notice the people we help as individuals and try your best to address them in a culturally appropriate manner but being ghetto and crazy as I am and raised the way I was raised and around the people I was around, thatād be hard to find in any professional environment š š however Harley found a perfect balance of being an upstanding professional associate and also being a genuine individual and providing excellent customer service. Working as both a cart attendant and a cashier in Emeryvilleās target for a few years all together adding all three of the times I worked there.. I got to see who is entering and shoppingā¦. A whole lot of Oakland natives like myself and I would gamble a big pot that I speak for us all when I say we need more Harleyās and not because she was capable of addressing me in a way I liked but because she demonstrated sheās CAPABLE of addressing people as individuals versus treating everyone with the same fake attitude and forced...
