Office Depot — Local services in Oakland

You can find better prices at Walmart, but most of the stores are a TOTAL MESS! Good luck finding items in stock! They usually only keep office items well stocked right before school starts.

I have been shopping at the Emeryville Office Depot for years. The store is ALWAYS clean, organized and well stocked!!

I have never had a problem finding things in this store and if I can’t, there is always someone to help me.

If I end up paying a little more, that is better than driving all the way to a Walmart, wasting my time and gas only to find that they don’t carry, or are out of stock of what I am looking for.

As far as Amazon…I DON’T want to pay for shipping. I DON’T want to pay a yearly fee to get free shipping. I DON’T want my order stolen off of my porch and I DON’T want to drive to a pick up location!

I DO like going into a store to browse around and see what is available as well as seeing and talking to people.

The cashier, Maneesha is super friendly and Charles is always asking customers if they need help. Great store for office supplies! The one thing I do miss is some of the quirky / fun things they would get for their Black Friday /...

Tonight’s experience was one of the worst I had in the last few years. I needed to do a printing job for my business and needed assistance. The man at the counter (I believe is the manager) said he was done for the day and needed to leave. It was 5:30pm and he suggested to wait half hour, or return at 6pm when someone else will start the shift at the printing department. I needed the job tonight and I decided to wait, only to see that after half hour nobody showed up, and nobody was going to! I asked the man sitting by the door greeting customers, if someone could help, and after going back and forth with another employee, it was clear that they both did not want to take on the task. Finally he reluctantly came to try to help but to no avail, no clear instructions on how to upload the documents on the website, wrong information on the amount to pay, and I finally decided to leave. I wasted my time and most importantly left without the job that I needed urgently for my business. Office Depot lost $ 150...

Printing on post board. I made a poster, but the ink is smudging. I return last night and left the message to person who manages the printing section. He call this morning and said to me that person who was working on weekend did not printing correctly and that was thecause of the smudge. Si he will reprint again correctly. When I went there just now... the customer service (person who was working near printing section) said, Manager Wayne explained this morning that I should not touch the front side of the poster because ink will smudge but just carefully hold the side of the poster to put it on the wall. Because this post board is new paper that they are using... they don't know why the ink smudge. It is natural that it smudge. Just don't touch. They should figure this problem before causing more issues to customers. Very unsatisfied. I went to the place three times, and nothing...
