I liked the decor of the cafe, definitely feels different from other coffee shops. I had a Rose Latte and Rose Milk cake. The cake was actually delicious, wanted to try the saffron too but it was sold out when I ordered, then they brought out a new pan so maybe one of their more popular slices. Rose Latte not a fan of. It's bigger compared to other cafes which caught me by surprise, but the coloring isn't rose; it's beet juice, making the latte grainier than expected.

Was not a fan of the baristas, they seemed like they didn't want to be there. The trash area was stacked crazy and just not maintained at all. The focaccia looked great but not labeled so I didn't know how they differed.

Their bathroom? Disgusting. Trash all over the floor and there was no seat covers. Which is fine I guess except there was so much pee on the seat. Which is crazy because I went in after an employee. She didn't seem to care about cleaning it up at all. When she was back from her bathroom break, the other barista behind the bar had to motion her for help. Maybe she was on a lunch break?

Overall, the table I sat at wobbled. I was excited for a bit more. Definitely interesting coffee but I wouldn't come back for another drink. Maybe to try other cakes and food but service? Terrible. Atmosphere was more like a 3/10 and people seemed to like working here, maybe I just got the last...

Oh Lord! A Yemen Cafe in Oakland! I am So Glad and Happy Delah Coffee is here in Oakland, Ca. I just want to go to Delah Coffee Everyday! It's Yemen in Oakland! I don't know what to say first. I will start by saying, do not come in a hurry talking fast! Take your time with the menu and choose what you'd like based on the ingredients and flavors of the coffee and beverages! I want to have everything. I chose the Quawah Mofawar and I am Hooked!!! It's The Best Coffee This Side Of Dubai! Then, there are the Pastries..... Mercy! Whatever you are curious about, have it! I've had their Rose Cake and Pistachio Cake that is deliciously nice and lightly sweetened, I had a slice of Cheese Pie that was surprisingly so light, warm and delicious, a sweet, lemon swirl roll that is crazy good, and there are more pastry deliciousnesses to choose from. The atmosphere is Beautiful! I feel as though I am out of the country. A very nice and comfortable interior design and decor, Beautiful Eastern music playing, and the most kind and beautiful people serving you! Included in all the specialness are the Beautiful Cultured People, Families and Friends who patronize Delah Coffee! Come and enjoy The Taste of Yemen! ...

I definitely recommend the baklava $6.95/2 pieces. The beautiful interior is a calm, quiet place to study. Wifi was slow so I wouldn't work on a laptop here. I also did not appreciate the service. I ordered a piece of cake. While ordering I said I don't like desserts with a strong rose water flavor and asked for a recommendation. I wish she would have told me the pistachio milk cake was soaked in rose water. Ultimately my fault for not being familiar, but it would have been nice to say. I couldn't eat the bottom portion. After ordering they never gave me the cake or baklava. I had to go back and ask and wait again. The server placed my baklava pieces in the liquid from the cake. She nearly served the cake in a plastic box, but I insisted "for here please" and asked for a plate. Everything else came in disposable, one-time-use plastic when they have plates right there. It's wasteful. Finally, hard dry mint bits in the refresher drink gave it an unpleasant texture. Why not use fresh mint? If I came back, I would try the coffee and get baklava...

I absolutely love that we got another coffee place in uptown area of Oakland. Great service, beautiful decorated with murals showing pride of their place of origin, Yemen 🇾🇪 👏🏾 highlighting the history and relevance around myths and facts when it comes to Yemeni coffee. The cafe gets packed and busy at any time on any day, they have comfortable seats! Yesss finally some of us can seat on real chairs with a nice cup of coffee. Not ikea or metal type of toy chair, nothing cheap here. Quality 100% from their pastries, their service, their attitude, their welcoming to folx in the neighborhood, their intentions, their extensive list of beverages and fresh pastries daily. My only but will be to have syrup cane, brown sugar and alternative types besides Splenda. Other than that minor detail I love this café and one can see all the effort behind. I give extra kudos for people who are opening and ready to serve someone at 7am, yes, they open that early on most days. If I'm giving this thorough review is because they deserve it. Two thumbs up! 👍🏾

There is no doubt, it is the best coffee shop in all of Oakland, CA. The time I was there, I went almost daily for my coffee: Rose Delah Latte or Yamine Latte are my favorites and their desserts are delicious. The atmosphere is extremely pleasant, the decoration is beautiful and the music is always at an appropriate volume. They are friendly with pets, my kitten was always welcomed. And I want to highlight the most is that all the staff is very attentive and sweet, always with a smile and the best attitude. My gratitude and my love to them for being so good to me. If you are in Oakland, don't miss the opportunity to go to this sensational place. Thank you so much for everything.
