Devlers Ice Cream — Restaurant in Oakland

The only item on the menu worth the price is a cone, and that depends on who makes it. The cone sizes are so inconsistent! My hubby and I just went today; I ordered my usual small cone and the girl made it almost the same size as the kid cone. She needs to be retrained—the sizes always vary, but this was just ridiculous. The prices are not low enough for a cone as small as she made. You never really know their hours. A week or two ago their Facebook page said they opened every day at 2. We went sometime after 2 and they were closed, didn’t open until 4 (which is crazy anyway). Also, they have never once answered the telephone (during operating hours). The staff is very friendly. UPDATE: Your (the owner’s) response makes no sense. I might have enjoyed the taste (about which I said nothing), but I certainly did not and do not enjoy getting ripped off. My boyfriend and I ordered two banana, peanut butter shake's. However his was runny. As for mine the first one the lid wasn't on, so naturally it went all over the place. I went back to the window and told the girls nicely what had happened and they gave me a new one after a few minor problems. Then I was excited finally and what do ya know, there was no bananas in it whatsoever. I go back and explain the girl got nasty and finally gave me a new one! Thanks All! Sorry for complaining. There were probably 40 people at devlers when we arrived. There were 4 in our party. People were SO incredibly rude to the 3 girls working. The girls worked non stop to do the best they could to get the orders out. I had to say something about the rudeness of some people and told them how ridiculous they were acting. These girls were swamped. I praised the girls for a job well done and keeping up the best they could.great job girls. Never pay attention to mean spirited people, they arent happy...
