Okay, so, it's okay. The food is actually pretty good,and the happy hour is pretty awesome deals. Lots and lots of TV's, decent atmosphere.
Been here a few times (company contract hotel) and the one huge downside is the service. The wait staff is usually overwhelmed even by a few tables, buying it gets busy it's even worse. The manangers wander around helplessly seeming very busy and stressed but not actually doing anything.
I've worked in restaurants for years, and this is far from a smoothly running machine. It was full team other day on Sunday brunch when the raiders we're in town. I guess its a stop on the way to the game. Totally overwhelmed the two servers and two managers and it took forever to get coffee, or even pay the bill so they could turn the table.
I've had several meals here (I'm not walking around this part of Oakland alone) and this time they were too busy, so they shorted me the second piece of toast with breakfast that is supposed to come with it. shorting food is not an acceptable response to being busy. Ever.
So, if you're stuck at the hotel there isn't any other options. Know the food is good, and the happy hour is a good value. Just be ready for it to take a lot longer...
Read moreThe food was good, but the customer service was terrible. I tired to flag down 2 waiters and they ignored me, which was COMPLETELY understandable because they had a packed house. At first I thought nothing of it, till a waiter came to my table to assist another customer. The customer looked surprised that the waiter came to are table, because he watched me try to get a waiter attention several times, mind you I still didn't have a menu. The customer told the waiter he can assist me first. The waiter again asked the customer for his order. The customer declined and stated " she would like to order". This exchanged happened about 3 times before the waiter finally gave up and decided to take my order. So I want the management team to put themselves in my shoes and think about how I felt and if it were them how would they feel. With that being said yes I did leave a tip even though he didn't deserve it, the customer deserved my money more them him. But I left a tip because I would hate for him to treat another customer in this manner. Hopefully it was all a miss understand, but thank you AGAIN to...

We only ordered appetizer and it took over 45 minutes before they brought 1 of them out, then it was another 15 minutes before the rest of the order came out and we were shorted one dish. The didn't come back to check for refills till they dropped the first appetizer off. The food was not very good ether we had chicken Nacho's, chicken quesadilla, sliders, the chicken was dry and burnt on both Nacho's and quesadilla, and the sliders were well done and chard on...
