Portions are graciously enormous! I recommend the biryani (Indian mixed rice) dishes for their flavor and texture. I went with a medium spicy level and it does build up a fair bit (beware, sensitive eaters!). The hubby tried their lamb vindaloo and thought it was just alright (apparently, there's quite a heavy ginger flavor). Chai does not come with the meal, and would cost an additional fee. However, our meals came with a generous serving of rice and some yogurt-like sauce, which ended up being really appreciated given the strong flavors of our entrees. Not having known we'd be getting rice, we had also ordered a serving of garlic naan, which was delicious and came with 4 sizable pieces. They had also provided a tasty appetizer of flatbread/chips with some dipping sauces we had never tried before. Needless to say, we had PLENTY of leftovers for the week! They provided us with nice containers to wrap it all up and we left very happy and satisfied. Thanks!
Their buffets are available from 11am-3pm daily, but we came for dinner and did not get to try this.
Additionally, one of their servers did not understand English, but we were always able to engage another one who did (so no problems in the end).
2nd visit: came back 2 years later while in the area and still happy with their generous portion sizes and tasty meals! Ordered a simple chicken tikka masala (which comes with rice) + naan and had enough for 3 sittings. Thank you!
The only thing is that it is very difficult to get into the plaza during lunch times due to the long line of cars trying to get to the gas station, Starbucks, and Wendy's through the same,...
Read moreTheir food is good. This star is only for the food. There was this lady, she came in less than 30 seconds of we arriving to the place. Says order? I am like give me 2 minutes. She is like, we are closing. We reached before 9 and they close at 10. O don't know what she was hurry in. She takes the order. My friend jokes, he is going to gym so he will have wheat roti. She looks at me and says really? I am like what is wrong with you? Did I do anything to offend you? Why do you have to do this? Could I have responded to that? Yes. Did I? No. Learn some manners.
After that another guy came in and asked us to finish our meal and says they are closing. So hurry up. Again time is 9.15.
I have worked in the kitchen and I know you have at least a hundred things to do before you actually have to worry about 3 plates and one table. Please please please, learn some manners.
I have never given anyone 0 tip. Today I gave you no tip. Maybe I was too mad at your service...
Read moreRoyal kitchen is under new ownership and it's not a good thing. Are you still love their Choley Bhature (spicy chickpea Curry & deep fried flatbread) and Lamb Vindaloo. I placed an order today 09/08/21 for both items. The Choley Bhature did not taste anything like it did before matter of fact it didn't taste like any Choley Bhature I've ever had. Instead it tastes like Chana Dal with cilantro. These are two very distinctly different dishes I like one and hate the other. They selling Chana Dal and calling it Choley Bhature. Secondly in the past you had two full pieces of Bhature the deep fried flatbread now you get one that they split in half and they call it two pieces. As for the lamb vindaloo it just did not taste right it was very close but there was a bitter after taste I could not put my finger on. Lastly I ordered both extra spicy neither was spicy the reason I went to Royal kitchen in the past was because it was true Indian level spicy! ...
