Can’t say enough good words about Frank’s Pizza! My family has used Frank’s for catering a number of times, always with an excellent experience and reviews from our party guests of how good the food is. We just had a party for our son who just turned two, and we used their restaurant space, for the first time, in the rear section of the restaurant for our entire party of 35 guests. What a gem of a convenience to be able to have a beautiful space to use, right in the restaurant where the food is! We did keep it simple and just had a pizza party, with chicken fingers and fries. Who raves about pizza, chicken fingers, and fries? My guests certainly did!! We’ve definitely had other food here before and are never disappointed. The staff….I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff! They are always super friendly when we are there, and they are very accommodating! They let me come in and decorate for the party beforehand and there was pretty much nothing I wasn’t allowed to do as far as the decorating went. Barbara was our waitress. She was AMAZING and super sweet! She even helped with the decorating. She was attentive with anything we needed at any time. And that was even while serving tables additionally throughout the restaurant. Angelo, the owner of Frank’s Pizza, is an absolute pleasure to work with! He is a happy guy and you can tell he loves his job. He’ll sit down with you to go over the menu, or you can do it right over the phone. He helps in making suggestions, but is never pushy and gives you an idea of what is the right amount of food for your party. Frank’s Pizza helped make our 2 year old’s Monster Truck birthday party a huge success, and it will be a memory that will last for years to...
Read moreWe’ve been getting Franks since we moved to Oakland about 4 years ago. During the pandemic we ordered from them and other restaurants in town in support of the tough times. Lately they have been going really downhill. Tonight, while ordering I mentioned to the girl that I was looking for a coupon. I then gave my card number and when I found the coupon I wanted to use she said it was too late and that we cannot use the coupon because she ran the card. That coupon would have saved me twenty dollars bringing my order from 54 dollars to 29.99 (I order two pies, two orders of garlic knots) when I asked if the girl could void it and start again she said “I don’t know if I can. You would have to talk to the owner and he would have to call the bank and honestly we are just too busy for that tonight.” So when I pushed asking for some sort of resolution she just told me it was impossible and if I wanted to use the coupon I could place a second order for more food. I asked if she could at least throw in a soda since she ran the card before I could tell her what coupon I was using and she said “yes but you’ll have to give me your card again.” We’ve had rude drivers that have literally thrown food into our hands, have stared at a 5 dollar tip and asked for more (we live up the block from franks), had pizza delivered that looks like it was thrown into a tornado and now this. Unfortunately, we will not be ordering with Franks again. EDIT- so my card gives me updates as soon as it’s ran. She ran my card five minutes after I got off of the phone with her. I asked if they could make it a 7pm delivery. The driver shows up at 6:30. Before our friends even arrived because the girl never told him it’s a...
Read moreI’m a pretty calm, nice non-confrontational individual with an overall good demeanor for this ever crumbling world we live in. Anyway here goes my small rant. I apologize, but I write with a little bit of passion and fluidity to really show you just how gross people can be. First time actually walking into this place in quite some time maybe 3-5 years to place a decent sized order and I’m met with a tan, eyebrows done, faded haircut and I’m sure what he thinks of himself as a pretty boy of a worker standing by the register/ovens. After being looked at by him directly with aggressively mean eyes like I was taking his lunch money, I moved past the strong opposing tough guy look from him, with the attempts to just place my order. There was a group of people in front of me, so I politely waited for them to order not wanting to cut someone off. In doing so, the ever so kind employee stared at me didn’t say hi sir how are you? How can I help you?… he quite literally said “SPEAK”… I shit you not, this is not exaggerated or made up to any degree whatsoever. Just your average customer walking in to do some business not greeted in any type of nice way at all just met with mean eyes and bad vibes to literally be told “Speak” by a pizza boy… well, that did it for me, I spoke and Said “arrivederci” with a salute as I walked out the doors and will never be going back again. Maybe have a bit nicer of a demeanor and attitude in the future you know, just doing the whole business thing. Just a suggestion who knows I...
