Pho Huyen & Banh Mi — Restaurant in Oakland

Came in to pick up a couple banh mis to-go for lunch and I am so glad I did. GF ordered the BBQ Pork and I ordered the BBQ Chicken with extra pate. These were some of the best banh mis I've had in Oakland. The proteins on both sandwiches were so flavorful and juicy. Bun bo hue should have lots of lemongrass and chili oil flavor. The broth did not have that impact. It was also lacking the usual pork blood, pig feet, a few pieces of the fried tofu, and the garnish bag did not have lime or banana flower.

Bo kho did not have enough lemongrass flavor. It was so-so overall. Glad that there was an option for noodles though.

Ok this place has the best Bhan Mi in Oakland. Here why the bbq pork is sliced thick and is juicy on a crispy baguette. The baguette is the best and the pork is number one in my books. Ive been eat Vietnamese food since the 90’s and place is the best I have ever eaten. The price is good at 9.00 I hope they don’t raise it too for a long time cause I m going back there soon....
