I wish I could rate this negative 5 but the lowest Google will allow is 1 so there you go. On 2/1/15 @1:30 PM I placed an online order for an extra large king Arthur's supreme pizza. At 2:30 PM the delivery driver arrived, the total was $34.33, I added a little extra for a tip paying a total of $37.00. When I opened the pizza I discovered it was a pepperoni pizza. I immediately called the restaurant to make them aware of the error. I was told that the driver was being called to deliver the correct pizza. I wait more than an hour and call back. The person who answers the phone tells me that because they are busy it's going to be another 1 hour 45 minutes before I can have the correct pizza delivered bcz they are busy. I ask what happened the first time I called they told me they were sending the driver back then. She responds with an attitude, I don't know I just got here and I'm trying now to remedy this for you. I tell her no just pick up the wrong pizza and give me a refund she then says because they are very busy if I want a refund I'll have to wait even longer because they can't send a driver out to give a refund until tomorrow bcz they are too busy today. I am BEYOND outraged! Not only am I expected to be without the pizza I paid for, I am also out the money I spent and unable to take those funds to get something else. I understand busy however, I am out because of their mistake it only makes sense that correcting that error should be top priority and I should be moved to the top of the list. Roundtable is one of my favorite pizza places. After this experience I doubt very seriously if I will choose to...
Read moreRound Table Pizza has my favorite pizza of all time... the Maui Zaui! I was introduced to this pizza years ago by a good friend who has since passed. For the longest, I wasn't sure where he got it. I knew the name but nothing else. Well, one day browsing through Round Tables menu I ran across the name and it was like I found a little slice of heaven and a great way to honor my friend. Living in the Lake Merrit area of Oakland, it only made sense that I try the location on Grand Ave. I have been getting my pizza from there for years and it really ramped up during the first year and a half of the pandemic. The pizza is always consistent. The ingredients are fresh. The service I've received has always been friendly and attentive. The drivers who would bring my deliveries were always professional, friendly and kind. As a long time resident of Oakland and a frequent pizza eater I would definitely recommend the Grand Ave Round Table for your pizza needs. - Oh yeah, my 9yr old son only eats cheese pizza (for the time being) and if I hint at a Round Table Pizza for dinner his room is magically cleaned, his toys are put away, his clothes find their way to the laundry basket, he totally remembers his manners and he finds a way to sit quietly and still (who knew!). Funny how a good pizza can motivate a great kid be even greater! 😄 - one more thing, using the app really provides a bonus as well. The points add up quickly and the rewards...
Read moreone word for this place: ghetto staff and ghetto customers, but not in the HOOD...so weird how they make their way over here! As I attempt to walk in, I get yelled at by a mad black woman who got mad b/c she claimed I looked at her grown daughter rudely when she slammed the door on my face before I can catch the handle to let myself in. Then as she proceeds to curse, her son who looks like he is 2 or 3 yrs old is witnessing her ratchet and aggressive behavior. Now onto my order, the staff looks so uninterested in their jobs that it was just plain pathetic how mean they look too. No hello, no how can I help you, no thanks for coming...nada! I don't come here often, but since I live nearby and my main pizza place was closed, I had to come here, sadly. ugh regrets...only good thing was the pizza which still needs to be cooked a little more, but hey, I was happy to get in and out without getting shot at by the mad black woman!!! LOL If I could get one word in, I wanted to ask her, "WHY THE ANGER??? WHY ARE YOU SO MAD (ALL THE TIME) THAT YOU HAVE TO CURSE people out everywhere you go?! right, stupidly ghetto customers again so I don't expect an intelligent response from her at all. forgot to mention that mad black woman was attending a kids bday party, oh round table pizza, please say no to ghetto people having parties at this location b/c they will continue to drive normal...
