Tacos Mi Rancho — Restaurant in Oakland

We call this the zombie truck and for good reason lol the very first time we pulled up a couple of years ago, there were people EVERYWHERE, leaning on the side of the truck, sitting in front of it, leaning against cars...and everyone was stuffing their faces and looked zombie like. We said WELL that food has to be good! AND IT IS!! We just got back from a weekend getaway to the Bay area and found it again on accident. I had 3 tacos, the shrimp one was delicious..could have had a little less of their sauce on it but it was still delicious. I also had a steak taco and got a taste of that steak! It was SO good! The chicken on my chicken taco was shredded which disappointed me. I thought it was weird to have shredded chicken on a street taco but they didnt offer me a choice when I ordered so I just ate it. It was okay, but I definitely preferred the grilled. Their steak is perfection, perfectly seasoned and delicious.

We went back 2 days later and I got the steak and shrimp loaded fries and they are AMAZING. My friends got the burritos with steak and they loved them too. Don't be intimidated by the atmosphere or the crowd, there is always a guard on site and I have never in my 4 visits seen an issue with anyone. AWESOME...

It's a taco truck. No frills. No outdoor seating like many have in Antioch, Fremont, or San Jose area. Rough neighborhood, but they have an armed guard keepimg the piece.

Went here for lunch today. Huge burrito deserving of the (11/2022) $13 price. It is a super burrito by most other standards (cheese, crema, avocado). Side of pickled carrots/jalapeños n 1 ea red/green salsa. Possibly saboitas available on request based on pic. Red is very roasty. Green has a good tomatillo flavor. Chips are an odd flavor. Don't think they are homemmade there, but I get the feeling that they're not. I would skip the chips.

Get a "Super" (15") burrito for $20 if your hungry. Great carnitas. I would say above average meat amount. They have some awesome if not expensive carne/shrimp combos.

I enjoy their food seasoning is fire( tasty). However so far the last two times I’ve gone they’ve messed up my order and I always seem to be missing the shrimp extra to my steak I order in my burrito. First time it happened the lady was great at fixing the problem however today the guy sucked after I called and spoke with him about the issue and he told me to return for the right burrito. I called twice including on my way back and he told me my order as originally ordered however when I arrived he tried to charge me $5 extra to redo the order even after I gave back the incorrectly prepared order. I ended up asking for the refund and he shorted me $5 . I’m disappointed I usually refer plenty of friends here I even drive pretty far to come . I’m so disappointed that I will now be taking my money elsewhere. Bad service puts a stain on good food because it interferes with your experience. They go...
