I remember going to this place when they just opened and I was still eating meat. The inside hasn't changed much but the menu definitely has. For one, they are definitely more vegetarian friendly but unfortunately the food actually has gone down. I've had better vegetarian food elsewhere. The waiter today was also very interesting. When I came in, I told him there were a total of 7 of us. He still insisted on seating us at a table that only fit 6 so we needed to pull a chair up at the end of the table. The restaurant only had one other table in there when we entered. I didn't feel like arguing with him so I said ok fine. He then proceeded to bring out only 5 cups of water instead of seven. I told him I needed two more water and it took him a while to get us the water. When I ordered, I told him I wanted one pho with beef balls and one with cha (pork cake). He looked at me all weird and said they didn't have that and cha only goes into their bun bo hue. He proceeded to tell me that I won't taste good like that. I gave him this look and basically told him give me two beef balls noodles and substitute one beef balls with cha. I also told him that it wasn't that complicated to do. He then finally relented and agreed. I won't be coming back here once pho king opens in August. There food is so much better and the service is...

Read moreYesterday, my sister and I went to this eatery. We placed an order for two bowls of pho and one serving of spring rolls. Initially, the service was satisfactory. To be completely honest, the soup tastes like canned food. This is the worst bowl of pho I've ever had. We chose to stay there for about an hour, and a Vietnamese man arrived to ask a waiter in Vietnamese, "Oh, that 2 girls only eat 2 dishes, why they keep sitting there?" I'm not sure if he was the owner or what. Don't get me wrong; this guy was attempting to communicate with us in Vietnamese. Don't get me wrong, this person was attempting to communicate to us, not the waiter; we were communicating with each other in Vietnamese. I think they are Vietnamese, thus they must be familiar with Vietnamese culture, even if their knowledge is limited. I may be able to understand, but constantly someone rude like that owns a restaurant. However, their cuisine isn't that great, and the service, as I already mentioned, isn't worth it. You could travel a little bit to San Leandro or Hayward for better food and service with that...
