I visited on what I thought would be a non-busy weekday, thinking it would be a good time for my 2-year-old daughter to enjoy herself without the weekend crowd. The website said the space was “suitable for all ages” and that time slots were used to manage entry, so I figured we’d be fine. Unfortunately, that wasn’t quite the case.

When we arrived, only one person was working the front desk, and there was a line—even though we had already purchased tickets online. We still had to check in, while others just walked straight in. I didn’t make a fuss since I had already paid, but it felt a bit unorganized from the start.

Weekday pricing is $20 (my daughter was free since she’s under 3), but weekends jump to $30 per person over 3. Honestly, I don’t think the experience is worth that price—especially not on a crowded day.

The main issue for me was how chaotic and unsafe it felt, especially for toddlers. I saw many videos of parents bringing their one-year-olds, so I assumed my two-year-old—who can talk, walk, and climb—would be fine. While she did enjoy some parts, the ball pit was a major concern. It was so deep even I was sinking in it (and I’m 5’3”), so you can imagine what that meant for a small child. It didn’t help that the posted rules (no jumping, diving, or running) were being ignored, even with repeated announcements from staff. At one point, a parent even lost track of their child in the chaos.

The final room—the bubble room—was the worst part. The flooring has a rough, grid-like texture. A larger child accidentally bumped into my daughter, causing her to fall and badly scrape her leg. While I understand accidents happen, it felt like a poor design choice for a space where kids are expected to be running around and possibly slipping. Huge thanks to the woman at the front desk who gave us bandages and alcohol pads, but it was still a disappointing end to the visit.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this for kids under 3. It’s marketed as an “all ages” experience, but it definitely didn’t feel safe or age-appropriate for toddlers. The disorganization and lack of enforcement around safety made it hard to enjoy...

I would've rated this 4 stars based on the excited feedback from my parents but they lost a star for shady business practices. They took advantage of my parents and charged them full price at the event for the photo even though they had a prepaid QR code and now they won't refund one of the charges.

I sent my senior parents on a date night complete with VIP tickets, prepaid parking and prepaid add-on photo (mostly for me to have proof they went 😂). They had fun, took lots of pics and even enjoyed the VR experience. They went mid afternoon so it was quieter and less crowded. They each brought home a poster that was included in the VIP ticket. However the sour part is they were charged $15.99 for the photo at the event because they forgot about the prepaid photo QR code, which I thought was linked to their ticket so it should've come up and they shouldn't have been charged. I didn't talk to them about the event until a couple days later. When I heard about the photo fiasco I asked for a refund or a measly $7.90, the cost of the prepaid add-on photo. Only to be told no refund, the code was used. If the code was linked to their entry ticket, it wasn't by my parents otherwise they shouldn't have been charged the $15.99. One of 2 things is happening here, either they are participating in shady business practice and letting others use an unused prepaid QR code or they just have no problem double charging. Way to leave a lasting impression on what WAS a fun night out, now it'll just be remembered as a lesson learned and don't do business with fever again. Bubble Planet: An Immersive Experience is a fun, family-friendly attraction tucked into a quieter part of Oakland. First things first, the location is easy to find, and there’s plenty of decent parking available, which makes arrival stress-free. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and gave clear instructions before we entered, which helped set the tone for a smooth and enjoyable visit.

You’re given up to two hours inside, but honestly, after about an hour and 15 minutes of walking, smiling, and soaking in all the colorful interactive rooms, we felt satisfied and ready to grab food. The different zones are creative, playful, and full of photo-worthy moments. From giant bubble domes to interactive visuals and light displays, the whole experience is great for kids, teens, and even adults who just want to let loose for a bit.

The flow from room to room was well-managed, and although there were plenty of people, it never felt overcrowded. The temperature inside was a bit warm during our visit, so be prepared to hydrate and take your time if you’re visiting on a hot day.
