Really really bad experience and I’m not even gonna give them a star but there’s no option to do that.
I am leaving this review as actually a message to their manager (whoever you are coz your staff seems like doesn’t want to give out your name) or to the upper level.
I went there at Honeybake Ham in Oakland Piedmont location and fall in line before Christmas, 24th. Stand in line for 45min only to find out when I get home that the Mashed Potato was really bad. I can smell the bad odor coming out of the container and how discolored it is. I called their office right way but no one is answering until the time they closed.
The day after Christmas, 26th, I called the store and spoke with someone who told me to just come and bring my receipt. I told that person that I’ll go there same day with my receipt. Got at honey baked ham at 4:00pm and was assisted by Mayra who told me that she’s the only one at the restaurant and everybody left her. I asked her if she’s the person I spoke to over the phone but she said “No”. She states that if her Management doesn’t care and so as she because there are few people that already came and they yelled at her. I left a note for Vanessa, Mayra’s friend (according to Mayra) stating that I do not want to come back and that they have to refund my money either they send it through mail or they can send it directly to my card. I asked that she call me tomorrow. Phone Number and name given. I left the Mashed potato and receipt to Mayra. Left the store at 4:10pm. The following day, 27th, I expected a call but no one called me.
12/28 I called Honeybake Ham to follow up, Spoke to Vanessa and I told Her what happened but she didn’t let me finish and just cut me off and started yelling. My husband heard everything. Vanessa hung up the phone while I was talking and then I called again right away and spoke with Sasha. She let me finish what I’m saying and I said that if we have to wait for the manager, I’m okay with it. I told her that if that’s the only way then I’m willing to wait for her/him but when Im trying to get the managers name, Sasha then said “just wait for the moment” then phone went to silence and then got disconnected. I called again and spoke with Vanessa and as always she treated me with her rude way and yelled at me. Hung up to me over and over again. I recorded the last part of our conversation. I called the store several times and people hung up everytime, on my 8th and 9th call no one is answering.
As a customer, we have the Right to the truth, the $8.99 mash potato doesn’t even worth all the trouble that Honeybake Ham staff gave me. I was treated with their very bad and rude attitude. I got YELLED at by Vanessa trying to turn around the situation, “she’s the mad staff and I’m a bad customer”. Which I do not understand.
I am thankful that I smelled the mash potato before we eat it because otherwise they’ll be hard to find if I get hospitalized due to food poisoning. The food is okay but the staff and their process are terrible. I will not go back again.

Read moreVery disappointing service, I made a reservation and arrived a few minutes after open, after waiting patiently in line we were met with very poor service. The ham pulled for us was leaking so much in the few seconds on the table it had leaked puddles, when we asked for another ham we were told that wasn't possible since we had a reservation whatever was pulled was what we had to take. Following this ridiculous response we insisted that we be given one that was not actively leaking all over. We then waited another 10 minutes for a manager, during which we observed other sales staff being far more helpful offering other customers selection of different hams and turkeys pulling different items and allowing them to pick. When a supervisor finally came she tried to explain that the reason they were unable to help us is because we had a reservation. I'm not sure what kind of service this is but I would recommend a different location, if I'd not tried the product previously I would of just walked out. Moving forward I would opt for another location or product all together. I strongly encourage the management here to take into consideration better customer service or risk loosing substantial business especially with the upcoming holidays, the reservation i would assume is to help the location plan but apparently patronsare better off just showing up as there is no benefit to making a...
Read moreWow! This is my second year using this location for my holiday ham & turkey and it has got to be one of the busiest (and tastiest) Honey Baked Hams in the Bay. They keep things moving like a well oiled machine, especially with the pre-order + pre-paid pickup - totally seamless! Pre-paid is key!! The staff is so nice and on top of things, even amid the endless lines. It's so cool to watch everyone work as a team to make so many people's holidays easier and brighter. To the woman running the pre-paid station and helping every other cashier with their questions - you are AWESOME!! Each interaction around me ended with the most genuine "Happy Thanksgiving!" and it fills you with a real sense of community.
