White Horse Pub — Restaurant in Oaklyn

The White Horse Pub, although a welcoming name change from the previous name: "RMacs" or any of the plethora of names it's had in the past. This joint has been around long while... but has changed hands with many owners. That being said, The White Horse Pub is an amazing place to unwind and nibble on pub food. Did I say nibble? CHOW DOWN is more like it! The food is AMAZING. And Marty the bartender is easy on the eyes. Speaking of which, there are plenty of televisions to keep your eyes entertained. You could also entertain your peepers watching a couple of drunk guys play pool so poorly that you really want to challenge them on the next round but decide instead eat your unbelievably delicious garlic buffalo wings instead. They're really not cute enough to make an effort. But the wings are so good that you'd make the effort with the cook in the back who is as tasty looking as his wings. I've only been to the White Horse Pub twice so far but had a great experience both times. Starting with the food, they have a relatively small menu which I'm guessing is to ensure that everything they serve is absolutely delicious...my more recent visit included a perfectly cooked and super juicy burger and (I think) hand-cut fries. Their regular prices are really reasonable and they also have great food and drink specials too ($5 draft beers on the second night I was there). On top of all of that, the service is exceptional...after only two visits the staff made me feel like I've been a regular for years. I only live a few blocks away so I plan on actually becoming a regular now that i know what a cool place it is. Shame on me for not...

This place is a nice local bar, Bartender looked happy that you were there and was friendly. He delivered a cold beer in an icy mug. When I called they told me the kitchen closed at 11pm, but after a couple of stops at to other places nearby that told me the kitchen was open but when arrived minutes later it was not, I had given up and just wanted a cold beer to turn the tide.... and this place delivered. Next time I am in town, I hope I can try the food. Oh yeah, place had about 20 people at the bar and as I finished my beer, he brought me a new one, the whole time we was working to clean.
