I will never goto this Ocala location again!! Right after they opened it was great but it has gone downhill in such a short time! I have a feeling it has to do with the side of town its on more than anything.. Ill start by saying I have to travel about 30 mins to get here and every time but the very first time we went after they opened it's not been worth the trip. The first time I ever ate at a bojangles (in north carolina) it was the most delicious chicken I ever had.. It was spicy, full of flavor, hot, tender, the sides were amazing.. And that's how it was here too when they first opened. But its my belief that they had lots of complaints about it being too spicy (because its on the older folks side of town) and so they adjusted the recipe so that their main clientele can eat there... Which is great and considerate unless your not old and expect a certain spiciness from bojangles. If I wanted plain chicken Id goto KFC and still get more flavor than this chicken has to offer. And if that's not the case (about adjusting the recipe) than whats your excuse? Are you not letting it soak long enough? So anyways.. The chicken now has ZERO flavor and 90% of the time it seems like its been sitting for half the day and its not even hot. The sides also are never fresh seeming anymore and are always about room temp.. Not to mention its FREEZING in there every time I've gone and so even if the food maybe was hot how would you even know because by the time you get to your table its cold because of the temp in there.
The last time I was there we bought one of the big family meals and they told us they were out of mashed potatoes and gravy and acted like they werent planning on refilling them.. only to watch them put new ones in after the finished serving us. They could have told us they would have some soon and we could wait or we could pick something else but to not say anything is messed up.
Another thing that just popped in my head... Every time we order the tenders there they are always sooooooo over cooked its inedible!!
This location needs A LOT of work.. I'll probably never come here again, that's for sure. Just too much of a disappointment. Maybe if Bojangles (not associated with this owner or management) opens one on another side of town id be more inclined to try it again.. But until that...
Read moreUpdate as of 12.30.24 - no one from the store has called me back. I live over an hour away so I haven't had time to just drive up there. I reached out to their corporate office where you can only fill out a feedback complaint and ask for someone to call. I have done it twice since the incident and NO ONE has called me or emailed me. I have my bank investing the duplicate charge as fradulent. The store owes me for the food I did not receive. Now that I see how their corporate responds, I understand the pathetic service at the store, lack of following health code rules, hiring of unstable minded employees and having a manager that is essentially a thief for knowingly double charging me and playing it off as a refund. I was here on 12.26.24 and placed an order at 11:54am. At 12:25pm, I had still not received my order. My order was waiting for 2 Bo-Berry Biscuits to be cooked because they had none ready. Once they were done, I witnessed an employee trying to open the icing for them with his teeth. Then the person that was getting order ready after the other young man failed to get icing open with his teeth, knocked the 2 biscuits into the trash can. He employee then stomped around, screamed the FâWORD out and proceeded to punch the wall like it was a punching bag before storming out the back door. The manager came out, I explained the issue. Told him I just wanted a refund for the 2 biscuits but wanted the rest of my order. He goes to the register and enters in items and it shows $74.79 on screen, which was the cost of my entire order, to which I stated I want my other items. He smiled and said I know and told me I needed to insert my card I used for the refund. Great, right..WRONG...open my bank account this morning to see He charged me again for the entire order. No credit back at all. So in addition to witnessing an employee putting his mouth on an icing bag to open with his teeth, in addition to the 2nd employee acting like a toddler throwing a temper tantrum where the entire restaurant could hear him- and they did, in addition to having to wait wrll over 30 minutes for food...I get billed twice for the same order and didn't get the biscuits. Ridiculous service and both employees should be fired. The one using his teeth to open an item...just...
Read moreWe do not have a Bojangles in Tampa, so it is usually a treat when I pass through Ocala on the way back to Land O Lakes and I can pick up chicken. The last two times I stopped at this specific location, they forgot my biscuits. I have now trained myself to check the family order to make sure that they put the biscuits in the box.
Today, however, was the last straw. My wife was coming back from Gainesville and stopped and got our normal family meal. She drove an hour and a half back to our house and opened up the box only to find out that they shorted us two biscuits (youâre supposed to get six) And gave us chicken tenders instead of fried chicken. Unfortunately, we cannot backtrack an hour and a half to this location to make the order right so we called them. They said there was nothing that they could do because we had left, they were unwilling or unable to give us a refund over the phone because they said that they needed my wifeâs debit card in person. So we are going to dispute this with our bank and just have the charge completely reversed.
Further, I want you to take a look at what theyâre calling âchicken tenders.â They look like glorified french fries. I know that bite inflation is hurting us all, but they are charging premium prices for this stuff. This is not a âtenderâ by any definition.
This location is run by imbeciles. It is run by people who are inbred and have no concept of how to put chicken in a box. These are the people who are saying they deserve $15 an hour and they cannot count to six. I will never have any sympathy for fast food workers when they do their job so...
