Once again another FANTASTIC MEAL (as we come to always expect at this great establishment) Tonight it wasn't as crowded as we normally experience but it's a Wednesday at the month's end but that played into our favor. Tonight everything we ordered was outstanding! But what boggles our minds when we order appetizers.... We are the only people ordering the: "TABLESIDE GUACAMOLE".. choosing instead the pre-made "stuff" See newl picture of: THE TABLESIDE GUACAMOLE" added this evening!

We came in today, Thursday, around 4:10 and were immediately met by masked and cheerful Hostess who took us straight to a booth. With hesitation our Server was there (within one minute) took our drink and Appetizer order. It is so damn good to have a "Mexican " restaurant that serves fresh Table-Side Quacemole!!! When the Server returned with our drinks we placed our meal orde. Our food today was FANTASTIC the staff was FANTASTIC. People have always used an old saying: "The third time is a charm..." Well today it was!!!
1st review: This was the first time that we visited this establishment and after reading numerous discriptions from other Guides we went in with a completely open mind. It was a Friday afternoon about 4 oclock and this place was packed!!!!! The Host stand had two great Hostess that greeted us with huge smiles and to our surprise escorted to our seat with no wait The Restaurant looked very good and everyone inside seemed to be enjoying their meals so that got us ready for ours. The menu is Fantastic and offered numerous selections to get your appetite going. Our server was very inventive and knowledgeable offer any and all questions without hesitation It was almost as perfect of a experience as you could hope for .... But.......... Then came the food... Our plates came out and they look perfect!! If the food only tasted as great as it looked this place would be a 5 star experience... But it wasn't.... Sometime you can over try and offer huge amounts where less would be best. My burrito was stuffed so full of beef i ended up removing half just to make it enjoyable and moist. The way it was it made it to dry to eat. My wife was having a similar experience with her order also only eating a third of her order.... And the dessert ..... well ..... But we will try this place was again... With as many people as this restaurant had seated and waiting to be seated it has to be better then our experience ... We will post our second visit and let you know if everything improved...
2nd Review 09/19/2018
After trying a few other "Mexican" style restaurants around the Ocala, Florida area and being totally let down by the food, the service, the whole overall experience we decided to once again try Las Margaritas to see if we were right the first time when we enjoyed it ... We WERE!!!! As the pictures will show you out table top (for two) ended up being loaded with with empty plates... One thing.... If you want to order the Guacamole appetizer make sure to order the made tableside Guacamole inside of the cheaper one..... it is real and fresh, chunky and great instead of a creamy green paste tasting like something you try to feed a baby... .

Read moreOur dining experience at Las Margaritas Mexican in Ocala, Florida, was nothing short of a delightful fiesta. From the moment we stepped through the vibrant entrance, the lively atmosphere and the enticing aromas set the stage for a memorable evening.
Our server, Fidel, truly stood out with his exceptional service. His warm demeanor and professionalism added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal. Fidel was not only attentive but also incredibly efficient. The speed at which he catered to our needs without compromising the quality of service was truly commendable.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the Margaritas. We couldn't resist trying both the frozen and iced versions, and they did not disappoint. The frozen Margarita was a refreshing burst of flavor, while the iced counterpart showcased a perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess. Both variations were expertly crafted and served with a smile.
For our main course, we indulged in the Enchiladas Rancheras and Chimichangas, and oh boy, were we in for a treat. The Enchiladas Rancheras featured succulent, perfectly seasoned meat enveloped in a rich sauce that left our taste buds dancing with joy. The Chimichangas were a crispy, flavor-packed delight, filled with a satisfying blend of ingredients that showcased the kitchen's skill in creating authentic Mexican cuisine.
The ambiance of Las Margaritas added to the overall experience. The colorful decor and lively music transported us to a festive Mexican celebration, making our meal not just a dining experience but a cultural adventure.
In conclusion, Las Margaritas Mexican in Ocala, Florida, exceeded our expectations in every aspect. Fidel's impeccable service, coupled with the mouthwatering Margaritas and delectable main dishes, make this restaurant a must-visit for anyone craving an authentic and memorable Mexican dining experience. We'll certainly be returning for another round of Margaritas and a taste of more culinary delights on their menu. Thank you Fidel from the two grateful Canadians!

Read moreThis is my first two star review ever. We came to Las Margaritas on a Tuesday night. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to sit inside as it was a hot day. The waitress came quickly and asked for our drink orders. We had some questions about their margaritas which she answered but she did not offer their happy hour special or explain it. We decided upon a pitcher of the house margaritas, $28, for the four of us. You will see by the picture that it is intended to be a beer service pitcher with the metal freezer core. The appearance is deceiving because the pitcher looks large but the core displaces much of the beverage. Then to our dismay the pitcher was also filled to the top with ice! We barely were able to get four small glasses of margaritas from it, and when it was time to pour a fifth glass, it was so watered down you could barely taste any margarita. When our server returned, we explained how we had never seen margaritas served this way and what a deception it was. She offered no resolution or explanation but smiled and nodded. We then asked her about the happy hour special. She told us then Margaritas were two for $9 so we ordered four at a cost of $18. The individual margaritas were not only a much better value, but we're not iced down.
Our meals were average in taste but did come out in a timely manner. The portions were not overly generous, average at best. We are accustomed to receiving beans and rice with any full-size dinner at restaurants we frequent, but this was not the case. My husband's four enchilada dinner did not include any extras. He ordered refried beans on the side at a cost of $3.50. The best of the four dinners was the carnitas. The pork serving was generous and had an authentic flavor. The menu specifies only two slices of avocado with this meal and you will see by the picture that is true.
The restaurant itself is decorated nicely with colorful furniture and decor. It's somewhat loud because of...
