Marshalls — Local services in Ocala

We visited this Marshalls on a weekend in the summer of 2023. The store seems newer and clean. But it seemed pretty small in size. The inventory seemed quite limited and was mostly clothing. But that shouldn't be so much of a surprise. Clothing is all I've ever thought of when the name Marshalls came up. They have fitting rooms on one side of the store, which look like it would have restrooms. But the restrooms are on the opposite side of the store in the mens section. It was a little confusing for the nice women who asked us if we could see the sign. I never thought I was all that tall :) But I spotted them and pointed them out to her. The parking was also more difficult than it needed to be. You have small lanes with parking spots and curbs. Again it being the weekend, it was like a free for all with folks using signals telling the other person they were number one. I'm just glad we didn't have such an issue. We were fortunate to have someone pull out just as we were arriving, so we got lucky. I just told them thank you rather than telling them they were number one like we witnessed others communicating. I guess it's a nice little Marshalls. But honestly, I'm not a clothes shopper, so this store did little for me. The wife seemed less than thrilled also. And she always loved Marshalls. Worst experience in a clothing store. So went clothes shopping on 12/30/22 it was about 1pm and I had a few article of clothings to try on. So you can only take back 10 items and I had 11, so okay I will try on my 10 first then bring them back up, grab the 11th to try on. So I tried on my first 10 articles of clothing and came back up to the front to collect the 11th article to try on and I had forgotten the marker they give you when you try on clothes, I told the older woman that was working that department I accidentally forgot it apologized but someone went right in and I will grab it the soonest that person was done trying on her shirt. The woman rolled her eyes, shook her head and mumbled something under her breath and started to walk away. I then said to her “you know what on second thought I do not want to try on that last shirt” she asked why? And I said to her “the response I got from you after I apologized to you got forgetting the marker in the room said it all!, that is poor customer service attitude and I will never be back again so thank you but no thank you” and I walked away. I went to the store for the first time yesterday 12/17 and thought it was great. Shopped around. My daughter found a purse on clearance that she wanted. I took it to the register to see how much it was and she said it was 50% off. I asked if they could hold it until later that night and she said yes. I wanted to get it as a surprise christmas gift. I returned later that evening about 930 to buy the purse. A different associate helped me and when she rung up the purse, suddenly it was full price. I go back to the clearance section to grab another and the whole entire clearance section was taken down and put away. I went back and explained to her that it was in a clearance box earlier that day when i put it on hold. She refused to honor the price i saved it for, which would've only been a $10 discount.
