My wife and I were looking for a place to stop for lunch after a long week of convention, meetings, etc. So she googled and found this place. It did not disappoint either. We were able to meet the owner of Ahlam, who prepared the food for us and made recommendations. When entering this establishment, it gives a feel of an older diner that has replaced the booths and placed chairs. We opted to sit outside with the picnic tables. I ordered gizzards, Korean Bourbon wings, and garlic parmesean wings. My wife ordered the seafood boil. The food was prepared fresh by the chef-Iris- and she did an amazing job. It was also served by Kim, who brought us everything and was extremely courteous and helpful. My wife really enjoyed her seafood boil and said that she would give this place a 20 out of 10 if she could. Two things to remember when visiting is that the location is off of a busy street, so be careful when trying to turn in. Second, some of the prices are at market price, so be prepared to pay a little extra as it is FRESH seafood, not frozen. This also helps to enhance the flavor of the food. This was the first time I ever saw a sodt crab burger, which I plan to try next time. I recommend this place if you are craving seafood and want it fresh. I give kudos to Ahlam, the owner, for having an amazing staff and for fixing some of the best...
Read moreWe came upon this nice little eatery. We decided to give them a try. We went in and found the decor to be kind of as the name suggests. The walls have a graffiti design for the art work. We ordered our food which took a little bit for us to make a choice. We fixed our beverage and had a seat to wait for our food. I went with shrimp and scallops, and rice and beans. The wife went with shrimp and a salad. This was all a mistake because it was just too much for us to eat. I had to make the choice of finishing the rice and beans which were very good, or eating the sea food. I figured that the seafood cost more, so I went that way. The rice and beans would have been a nice meal by itself. The wife finished her shrimp, but having the salad made the choice easier, in my eyes :) . Our lunch wasn't inexpensive. But considering what we ordered and received, it wasn't bad. The food was good and I'm sure we'll be back for more. The restaurant has an outdoor section, and well as a drive through. That's something you don't see too often at seafood restaurants. All in all it was a nice quiet meal. The food was good and the price, reasonable. Just a nice little...
Read moreUnique seafood restaurant indeed. From all the seafood restaurants I’ve been to I haven’t seen it with a drive thru, soft server counter, and ordering counter. I ordered the Number 7 (Boneless wings with fries.) And my dad got the jalapeño poppers with a Philly. While waiting for my order I saw the employees having a conversation. Its great that this place has a healthy work environment. I was in line waiting to ask for a sauce cup and one of the employees came over and asked me about why I was in line and when I told them why they got the sauce cup for me. Onto the food, The fries were great. As I’m typing this review I am munching on them. The boneless wings were good. The only problem is the buffalo sauce. Too sweet for my liking. The wings themselves are great. The crispness of the wings almost made them feel like they were gonna fall off if I tried to pry open the crust. My dad’s jalapeño poppers he said were great and crispy. But on the other hand he said his Philly “Had more bread then meat.” Take that how you will I guess. Totally recommend if you are in the...
