I made a huge mistake not reading the reviews before booking my appointment. Had I done so, I would not have subjected myself to a horrendous experience. Hopefully my review will help others make an informed decision. My request was straight forward - color the roots to remove the gray, trim my bangs which were cut less than a week prior, and style it with curls. Easy right? Brittany did a great job on the color and the bangs but no curls. Why ask how I fix it if you are not going to do what I ask? No biggie, she made it look nice, just a little disappointed that I didn't leave with curly hair. The cost of a one-step color and bang trimming was a whopping $100. No they are not afraid to charge that's for sure. I gave her a $20 cash tip and proceeded to the register in the front of the store to pay for the hair service. The woman at the register handed me a flyer telling me how I can accumulate points and points can be redeemed for money off future purchases. In that same flyer was a coupon for "first time customers for hair service - 30% off." No mention of the coupon during the visit as it's obvious they don't want to give any discounts. That evening I called the store and got no where fast with 2 different employees and was told "call back in the morning and speak with a manager. My husband went to the store the next day to get the credit of $30 (30% of $100) and after more aggravation and most employees unwilling to assist, Misty (store manager) gave him a credit of $22.50! She states "the register figures out the discount." They itemize each service: $75 for color, $12 for special ingredient in the color, $13 for bang trimming. To a consumer, those items were all ONE VISIT, ONE SERVICE. The coupon is misleading. At no time did anyone apologize for the misunderstanding and do the right thing. I end this post by saying I am baffled how a store can be so arrogant with their overpricing when their customer service is...
Read moreIf you have curly or curly hair, DO NOT go to this place. When I called I was specific, said I wanted someone with curly hair experience and they directed me to a girl named Wendy. To begin with, first when I arrived at the appointed time she was not there, according to her she was attending to me and two other people at the same time, that is, I went for a simple haircut and waited 2 and a half hours, because the girl was splitting between taking care of my hair and the hair of other customers, third, she barely arrived was asking for food, then disappeared for a few minutes, after an hour there she was ordering pizza, then disappeared again for a few more minutes and I was there waiting . Now let's go to her care, she seems kind and polite, BUT, in fact, she's really arrogant and unprofessional, I went to hell and came back with her combing my hair (too painful), without any care and technique, it doesn't have to be a hairdresser to know that you shouldn't comb your hair from top to bottom, or wash your scalp with your nails. I told her that in my country professionals don't take care of several clients at the same time, and she said "welcome to America", then she said that I should wash and detangle my hair before going next time, note: if I'm paying for the service it must be done in full, not me doing it before, how petulance! It certainly won't be the next time, my hair was horrible, without shape, a bad cut and poor service, I left there crying and frustrated, something that messes with the woman's self-esteem, which was supposed to be something pleasurable , it was a nightmare, DO NOT visit this place for a haircut, they don't have qualified people to take care of curly hair, hope it doesn't happen to...
Read moreWell, I needed a new stylist since I moved but I donât think this is the place. I need suggestions. I tried to get my hair fixed here and ended up with a really ugly color of something, not sure what patchy color it was supposed to be but several strangers I know from the store commented on the ugly color so I ended up box dying it dark brown just to cover the gross, dull color I paid 100 bucks for. So I decided to give another chance and let them do my daughters hair since itâs pretty straight forward. Brown with blonde highlights. But even though I said highlights they did balayage which is kind of a trashy, lazy way to highlight and I dislike this trend. Plus the colors she picked or it ended up do not look good with her face and the balayage made the ends very dark and almost gross enough I want to cut them off. At the store I do t think it looked bad but since leaving and being in the sun for the day the highlights almost look a gray color, sheâs a teen. Plus since balayage I can see patches of the old color in the roots. Patches. Not very flattering. She seems to be able to live with it but next time (several months) I pay 200 bucks for a pretty brown blonde color I am going to have to find another place to go. 2 strikes. Donât want to pay for a 3rd. Anybody have an excellent stylist with years of experience that can do a pretty brown/blonde highlight and also a good platinum shirt pixie on thin hair? If so let me know. Ocala area. Desperate. It will be months now as I canât afford to fix them for awhile. 200 bucks is a lot not to love something. Sh@&...
