This was mine and my bf's first time here and based on this experience our last.
The entire thing was basically a bust. The aisle way floor and the floor under the tables had trash of both the paper and food variety.
The waitress was pleasant and took our order and then repeated before going off to put it in. We both ordered the prime burger; he asked for no onions on his and for it to be cooked med well, and I asked for no onions or mushrooms on mine. When our food arrived BOTH burgers had onions as apparently the burger comes with 2 types and they only saw fit to take off one type and not both and his burger was a med rare. I had to send mine back as I am very allergic to onions. As we waited for me reorder to come back his food grew cold as he refused to eat with out me. When my redo came back it was now missing the creme lime sauce, the patty was so rare it barely could hold itself together and my fries had to have been my original as they were almost ice cold. I had to ask for the sauce for my burger then could only eat half as my boyfriend was worried I was going to get sick from eating the meat so raw. In the end he only ate half of his because his was too rare for his stomach and it was making him feel ill.
At the end of the "food" we got dessert, him the cheesecake and I the key lime. BOTH arrived so cold there were ice crystals on them and the desserts themselves crunched as we stuck a spoon in them. We ended up having to ask for boxes to take them home and let them dethaw.
During this whole thing our waitress was a bit apologetic, but what flabbergasted me is that NO manager ever came to our table to talk to us about our horrible experience to see if anything could be done or to apologize. And while I was not expecting to have our entire meal comped I DID expect a few dollars off. And you can bet that didn't happen either.
$60 was spent on an absolutely horrible dinner and experience.
He is now not feeling well and it's up in the air if I will get sick from my food being so raw. I'll update later if I do.
On the way home we stopped and picked up more food elsewhere as we were both...
Read moreWe came on a football Sunday evening. We expected it to be busy so we were prepared for a little craziness. The games were almost over and there wasn't a huge rush of servers in a hurry or customers that had been seated recently. We were seated and looked over the menu and started watching one of the games. After 10 minutes of not being greeted, we started looking around. Finally after about 17 minutes we were greeted by our server who had said she assumed we were ready to put in our full order; we were just wanting some water and an appetizer to start off with but felt pressured to rush our order. After explaining that we just wanted out appetizer first, she left quickly and returned with our waters, again pressuring us to order. Once we ordered our server was missing for a while. We decided we wanted to get a pitcher and were trying to find her for almost 10 minutes. When she finally came back with our appetizer, we ordered a pitcher with her and ate our appetizer of loaded cheese fries which tasted like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. After 12 more minutes and our drinks not being on the bar well, we finally had our server come back to refill our empty waters and take our plates away. We had asked her about the pitcher and she said she would go get it. Finally, the pitcher came out as the food did. The food was pretty good, with small specifications that were wrong. After we had finished our food, wanting dessert, we couldnt find our server again. She finally came back, completely smelling like cigarettes, and asked us for dessert. I have been to this location a couple times and have had great service but I am very disappointed with this experience and hopefully it was a one time instance. With being a server and a manager of a restaurant myself, I understand getting overwhelmed or busy on a football Sunday evening, but some more effort should be put into making sure every guest is well...
Read moreWe were from out of town but like brewhaus/alehouse type places so that's why we picked this place. The selection of beer was poor. Our waitress, Madeline, couldn't point out a locally brewed beer let alone one brewed in Florida. Many were from Wisconsin and that area. That was a disappointment considering it's called an Ale House not a Sports Bar on the sign. The waitress did not point out the Wed. special- if my husband had not seen it on a TV screen- he wouldn't have known. The meal came out before we finished the appetizer and all kinds of different people brought things to the table . Possibly, if the waitress had kept an eye open, the serving of the food would have been better coordinated. The sauce for my husband's reuben was cajun. It made the whole sandwich taste off- a choice of the regular thousand island or at least an explanation of the sauce would have been nice. We are older- we don't eat Cajun spiced food. Know your customer! My husband told the waitress the reuben tasted " off". The waitress said she would tell " them" . Who is " them" and why didn't " they" come to the table to find out what was wrong.? My salmon was dry and not even a wedge of lemon was served with it. The vegetable medley, a combination of zucchini types, was raw. Raw as in not cooked at all. The onions were the only ingredient cooked. Vegetable medley ,as a side, has always meant cooked. We were never offered a second beer. The clincher was the " tip" guide at the bottom of the receipt. A tip is something decided by the customer, not suggested by the restaurant. Maybe we were expecting too much. This is not an " ale house" . It's a sports bar- so call it that and we will go on to find what we really want. A huge disappointment as far as beer, the waitress, the food. ...
