Zhang Garden Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Ocala

We ordered the pork, egg rolls, the chicken wings, and the house special fried rice. The order was made through GrubHub. I asked if they had eggs in the special fried rice, and they automatically added the eggs and charge me an additional three dollars. With the cost of the special fried rice already being almost $15 I figured that the eggs would be in there already. For $18 I think that’s a bit too steep. When we received everything, at first glance, it looked good! The pork egg rolls were decent. We give them a three out of five stars. The star of the show was the chicken wings. The chicken wings were excellent! Definitely a five out of five! We paid for six wings, and received eight. And certainly least was the special fried rice. When I opened up the package, it looked like some of the best fried rice I’ve ever had based on just Visual, but I was wrong. After scooping some out on a plate You could tell that they chinced on the shrimp, chicken, pork and beef. They always make it look like there’s a lot in there because they put a bunch of pieces on top and then nothing on the inside. There was very little chicken, pork and beef in there. The shrimp that was in there was the small shrimp looked like popcorn, shrimp. They did add eggs which they charge me three dollars for. Even though I didn’t ask them to add the eggs. I just asked if they had them in there. The taste was decent, but you could definitely tell that they overheated and pretty much burned the sesame oil while they were cooking everything.

I have searched all over Ocala for a Chinese restaurant that provides everything I want, and THIS is the ONLY one that does! All I can say is AWESOME!!!

Delivery is important to me because I have a long drive to get home from work, and the idea of driving all over town to get something to eat does not appeal to me. And I'm sick and tired of pizza! Zhang Garden not only delivers, they are FAST, and the food is HOT on arrival!

Sweet and Sour Chicken that consists of huge, tender and delicious strips of chicken, with breading just the right thickness, and deep fried golden crisp! FANTASTIC!

General Tso Chicken that also has huge, tender and delicious strips of chicken, with a sauce that is the perfect consistency and excellent taste. (It could have been a little spicier, but the family member that ordered this can eat Habanero and Ghost peppers like candy, so you can't really judge by that).

VERY LARGE portions! We got two meals out of everything we ordered, and we ate until full each time!

Please, please, please, if in the past you had a bad experience with this restaurant, give it another chance. A change in ownership can do any business a world of good, and this Chinese food is the best I've found in all of Ocala. We're getting ready to order...

BEST CHINESE FOOD IN OCALA!!!!!!!!!!!!! When we're in the mood for Chinese food, this is the place we call. We live about ten minutes from the restaurant, so I call our order in just before I get in the car, and it's always ready when I get there

The sweet and sour chicken with roast pork fried rice is great, especially if you get a side cup of sweet and sour sauce to pour over the rice.

Their Chinese donuts are wonderful, as are the fried dumplings.

The quantity an quality of the food hasn't changed a bit over the many years we've been ordering their food.Food tastes far better than most Chinese food in Ocala plus they are consistently good and have never messed up my order. I typically get combo meals. They are located in the Publix plaza on the far left end. It's best to call ahead but there are a few tables to sit, they sell beverages too. There lunch specials are very cheap and filling for when you need a quick bite to eat. The restaurant overall is very clean. I love this place and practically eat here everyday almost.
