Doozie's Place — Restaurant in Ocean City

If you’re a tourist and you haven’t tried this place yet—you’re seriously missing out. Honestly, even if you’re a local, you’re missing out too. This spot is such a fun experience from start to finish. We usually vacation in Stone Harbor, New Jersey, but decided to venture down the island and explore Ocean City—and we’re so glad we did. Someone recommended this place to us, and it did not disappoint.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was amazing. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the whole vibe is just fun and laid-back in the best way. There’s a cool waiting area, beachy music playing, surfboards on the ceiling every little detail adds to the experience and makes you feel like you’re on vacation, even if you’re not far from home.

We came in for breakfast and ended up ordering a mix of everything pancakes, shrimp tacos, and a burger. One of the absolute highlights was the pancake flight. They had such fun and creative flavor combos it wasn’t just your basic pancakes. We got to try several different kinds on one plate, and every single one was delicious. It’s the kind of dish that makes breakfast feel exciting. If you like to try a little of everything (or just love pancakes), it’s a must.

The shrimp tacos were fresh and flavorful, and the burger was juicy and full of bold, satisfying flavor. We were so impressed by how accommodating they were too they didn’t mind that we were mixing breakfast and lunch orders, and everything came out perfectly.

They also had really fun merch, which I’m a sucker for especially when I find a place I love. I ended up buying a purple hoodie and it’s seriously one of the coziest I own. They even had charm necklaces from a local vendor and other cool little items, so definitely check out the merch while you’re there too. The whole place from the menu to the decor isjust packed with personality and little things to discover.

If you’re heading to Ocean City, this place should absolutely be on your list. Between the amazing food, the friendly staff, and the beachy, welcoming atmosphere it’s the kind of spot you’ll want to come back...

Doozie’s Place is a must go!!! My husband and I visited Doozie’s place on a Sunday morning around 8:45am. The restaurant was full with one table left for us and then the brief wait began. The atmosphere & staff instantly makes you feel welcome. If you don’t know Doozie, after you visit here, you will know that this is her heart and beautiful soul!

I am kind of an avocado toast snob. Most places just dump sea salt on it and send it out, but not here! I ordered the Happy Seed with scrambled egg whites which is served with a touch of feta cheese & hot honey. I asked for the hot honey on the side because I was unsure of how that would go over with me on my eggs and avocado toast BUT next time I will ask for extra…it was that good. Just enough hot and just enough sweet.

The homefries were also a nice surprise. We are typically people that may eat a few of the home fries/potatoes but we couldn’t stop eating these. They were liked shaved pieces of potatoes (like super thin small potatoes skins) with some amazing spice on it. We also dipped them in the hot honey. Everything from the coffee, the perfect sized coffee mugs, the service, the plate presentation and that cool beach vibe gets five stars! We can’t wait to go back and neither should you!!!!!

Doozie’s Place is hands down the best spot in Ocean City for breakfast or brunch! As a local, I can say it’s our go-to almost every weekend, and for good reason. Everything here is so fresh, and they have an incredible variety. Their homemade pop-tarts are a daily surprise, and you’ll find creative specials like seasonal pumpkin pancakes that you won’t want to miss. The omelets and Eggs bennies are perfection, and their chicken sandwich? Way better than Chick-fil-A! The burger is killer too!

The atmosphere is relaxed, chill, and very much rooted in the local surfing community – the perfect laid-back spot to kick back and enjoy. Plus, they’ve got the classic IQ peg game on the tables, which is always a fun touch. The staff are all super friendly and welcoming, making every visit enjoyable. Doozie’s Place is a gem, and I can’t recommend it enough! So happy they will be a year...
